             Om het allemaal iets eenvoudiger te maken kan je hier
             enkele wel heel ERRUG handige tooltjes naar je harde schijf
             laten uitpakken. Maandelijks zal deze set, als het even kan
             ,verder worden aangevuld. Heb je zelf een leuke TOOL?
             Insturen die hap!!!!!!!

            AAPLAY.ZIP   De bekende Autodesk Animation Player
                         (DOS/Windows)
            PSP3.ZIP     Dijk van een grafisch Windows pakket.
            ULTIMOD.ZIP  De universele MOD speler
            VBRUN100.ZIP Mocht je bij het uitproberen van de software
                         de melding tegenkomen dat je een VBRUN.DLL
                         mist dan kun je deze rechtstreeks naar je
                         Windows\system directory uitpakken.
                         Pak dan voor de zekerheid gelijk alle drie,
                         dus de VBRUN100, VBRUN200 en de VBRUN300.DLL
                         uit.
            VBRUN200.ZIP Visual Basic Runtime 200
            VBRUN300.ZIP Visual Basic Runtime 300
            WINZIP.ZIP   Voor wie zelf wel eens gemakkelijk vanuit
                         Windows gezipte bestanden wil in en/of uit-
                         pakken is WinZip(R) versie 5.6 een absolute
                         MUST! Een probleem bij veel ingepakte bestanden
                         is vaak dat je niet precies weet wat er in zit
                         en wat 'het' doet. Met winzip kun je een eerste
                         blik in het ingepakte bestand werpen en een
                         tekstbestand lezen zonder alles eerst uit te
                         moeten pakken. Als je gaat uitproberen zul je
                         tot de ontdekking komen dat het met wel heel
                         veel verschillende bestandstypen gaat.
                         ERRUG handig dus!
            THREED.ZIP   In het uitzonderlijke geval dat je THREED.VBX
                         "out of date" mocht zijn kun je de volgende
                         oplossing proberen: Pak dit bestand uit in b.v
                         de directory C:\TEMP. Verlaat windows en hernoem
                         in de \Windows\system directory de huidige
                         THREED.VBX naar b.v. THREED.OLD. Kopieer
                         vervolgens vanuit de TEMP directory het zojuist
                         uitgepakte THREED.VBX naar de \Windows\system
                         directory. Probeer vervolgens na het opstarten
                         van Windows of je het programma waarmee je de
                         melding kreeg nu wel kunt draaien. Lukt het niet
                         Dan zit er niets anders op dit programma gewoon
                         NIET te gebruiken. Mocht je met je andere
                         programma's vervolgens ook problemen krijgen,
                         kopieer dan de THREED.OLD weer terug naar z'n
                         oorspronkelijke naam: THREED.VBX.
                         De reden dat je dit buiten windows om moet doen
                         is dat windows gebruik maakt van dit bestand
                         en veranderingen van dergelijke bestanden niet
                         toelaat.

    SINT        PC Sint Consument Tool

         SINT op CD-ROM

         De laatste maanden zat Sint elke avond aan zijn bureau
         in diep getob.
         En werd van dat bedenken alleen maar hartstikke doodop.
         Want - zo piekerde hij - is er voor de lezers van PC Consument
         Voor de december CD-ROM wel een toepasselijk traktement?

         Gelukkig had zijn computer-knecht iets geschikts in gedachten,
         Iets dat elke lezer kan helpen bij z'n jaarlijkse schrijf
         opdrachten.
         Knecht wist wis en zeker dat deze Sinterklaas-gedichten-
         generator,
         Een ieder verheft tot een uitmuntende rijmen-triomfator.

         Het programma dat meer dan vier miljard gedichten verzint,
         Staat nu op de schijf en heet gewoonweg SINT.
         Zowel met DOS of de nieuwste versie van Windows,
         Doet het zijn rijm- en dichtwerk ademloos.

         Plaats de gedichten-generator op harde schijf of diskette,
         Zodat het straks zijn gedicht veilig weg kan zetten.
         Met de letters SINT en een druk op Enter moet je het beginnen,
         Waarna de software jouw Sinterklaas-gedicht kan verzinnen.

         Maar direct na de start stelt het eerst twee vragen,
         Benodigd om de belangrijkste trefwoorden bij te dragen.
         Als eerste vraagt SINT voor wie het cadeau bestemd moet zijn,
         Zoals bijvoorbeeld Ome Piet of Tante Rozemarijn.

         Vervolgens krijg je de tweede hamvraag op het scherm,
         Geef hier de naam van de surprise of het presentje als tweede
         term.
         SINT toont direct hierna het eerste rijm van zestien zinnen,
         Die meteen geschikt is voor alle huisgezinnen.

         Aarzel niet en druk pijl omlaag en daarna op de spatie,
         Je ziet dan direct een nieuwe en rijmende informatie.
         Doe dit bij elke gewenste regel van het gedicht,
         En voltooi het zo naar eigen smaak en inzicht.

         Met de Escape-toets beeindig je de rijmelarij,
         En bewaar daarmee het resultaat van het karwij.
         Tot slot kun je het bestand SINT.TXT verder bewerken,
         En hier en daar verfraaien met hoogstaand tekstverwerken.

         Maak het mooi met grote letters en zo nu en dan een beeld,
         Dan heb je ook daar weer eens mee gespeeld.
         Ga dus direct aan de slag met PC-Sint-Consument
         En geniet met volle teugen van deze elektronische rijmen-assistent

    KARAOKE        Xmas karaoke demo

         Van het in een artikel besproken onderwerp karaoke
         kun je ook de Windows demo uitproberen. En omdat het bijna
         kerstmis is heeft Bannink Media Productions een speciale PC
         Consument demo met 2 Xmas songs in elkaar gesleuteld!
         Erg leuk is de vermelding dat het hier om een echt Nederlands
         produkt gaat! Overigens kan je in gestrekte draf op de
         winkelier af omdat vanaf november de Cd-Rom: 'De bekendste
         kerstliedjes' verkrijgbaar is. Pak het bestand KARAOKE.ZIP
         even uit naar je harde schijf. Geef hierbij ALLEEN de
         schijfletter, bijvoorbeeld C:\ op. Automatisch wordt de
         directory KARAOKE aangemaakt. Om het geheel nog even in
         Windows te laten draaien moet je na het uitpakken even de
         SETUP draaien. Je kunt dus alvast de PC onder de kerstboom
         schuiven om straks met de kerstliedjes te kunnen meegalmen!

    SPECIAL        Special Shareware

         Deze maand wederom veel Special Shareware. Natuurlijk
         ontbreekt ook deze maand de KING niet! Lees eerst even
         alle TXT bestanden goed door, je krijgt dan een beter
         beeld van wat een programma je kan bieden.

        KING.TXT     DE ONTHULLING(?)!!!!
        SANTA.ZIP    Leuke kerst screensaver! Laat de shell het
                     bestand uitpakken naar je Windows directory.
                     Vervolgens ga je terug naar het programma-
                     beheer en open je hoofdgroep - Configuratie
                     scherm. Open het bureaublad en kies de
                     schermbeveiliging (SSSANTA.SCR). Als leuke
                     bijkomstigheid kun je gelijk ook even windows
                     van een leuk kerstbehangetje voorzien door
                     ook een achtergrond te kiezen (SANTA3.BMP/
                     SANTAFX.BMP).

        SMED20.TXT   Eerst even lezen.

        GOLDWAV.ZIP  Coole player voor de VOC's in de directory
                     \VOC. Maar ook andere formaten kunnen met
                     dit spelertje worden afgespeeld!
        PHOTOLAB.TXT Eerst even lezen.
        PHOTOLAB.ZIP Met dit pakket kun je op eenvoudige wijze
                     zelf je Windows behang maken! Je kunt
                     gebruik maken van verschillende formaten.
                     Probeer maar uit met de bestanden in de
                     \PLAATJES directory.

    FREEWARE    Freeware Topper JEBS 2.0

         Absolute FREEWARE TOPPER mag wel JEBS20 genoemd worden!
         Jebs is ontwikkeld gedurende een periode van twee jaar.
         Het is naar de mening van de makers het meest flexibele,
         aantrekkelijke en snelste boekhoudprogramma van Nederland.
         Aangezien WIJ, dwz de gebruikers, dat wel zullen uitmaken
         roep ik iedereen op dit pakket EXTREEM heavy aan de tand
         te gaan voelen! Het programma is overigens sinds september
         1995 vrij verspreidbaar(!!), natuurlijk op voorwaarde dat
         er door derden geen winst mee gemaakt wordt. De maker(s)
         laten weten dat als je naar tevredenheid met Jebs 2.0
         werkt, je vriendelijk wordt aangespoord hier iets van te
         laten blijken. Een kaartje, een briefje, een pakje of
         een staatslot wordt door hen altijd bijzonder op prijs
         gesteld. Als je je tevredenheid kenbaar maakt in de vorm
         van het symbolische bedrag van Fl 25,- dan zijn zij zelfs
         bereid je de ontbrekende module Automatische Boekingen
         toe te sturen! Deze module heb je echter niet nodig om
         succesvol met het programma te kunnen werken zodat menig
         donkere avond met dit pakket kan worden gevuld om je
         financiele administratie eindelijk eens knap op de rails
         te zetten. Lees voor je begint wel eerst even het TXT

        JEBS20.TXT    Eerst even lezen
        JEBS20.ZIP    HET pakket!

    SPOT        Spotlight

         Zoals je weet in Spotlight de zelfgemaakte inzendingen van
         lezers. Lees eerst alles op je gemak even door voordat je
         het op je harde schijf kwakt!

        BREAKOUT.ZIP Breakout, versie 1.1
                     Dit spel is gemaakt met Klik en Play (besproken
                     in PC CONSUMENT). De bedoeling is om alle blokjes
                     in het veld te vernietigen, door met het balletje
                     tegen de blokjes aan te komen.
                     Je bestuurt de balk onder aan het scherm, waarmee
                     je moet voorkomen dat de bal de onderkant van het
                     scherm raakt; want dan verlies je een leven.
                     In elke level kun je levens krijgen (en verliezen)
                     door de plaatjes te raken. Ook krijg je bij elke
                     nieuwe level een leven. Dit programma is FREEWARE;
                     je mag het niet verkopen voor geld, je mag het gratis
                     aan iedereen geven, enz, enz.

        GRAV.ZIP     Dit is een zelf-geprogrammeerd programma in
                     QuickBASIC 4.5. Dit programma kan "3-dimen
                     sionale gravitationele bewegingen simuleren",
                     of eenvoudig gezegd: bewegingen zoals de maan
                     rond de aarde, de aarde rond de zon enz..Dit
                     alles heb ik in een gebruiksvriendelijke inter-
                     face geprogrammeerd. Je kan de simulatie
                     "life" grafisch op het scherm volgen in een
                     vrij te kiezen projectiemethode (Zoals de
                     methode waarbij je een 3D-brilletje met een
                     groen en een rood glaasje nodig hebt). Op
                     ieder moment kan je simulatie afbreken om de
                     berekende waarden te bekijken. Je kan op elk
                     moment gegevens veranderen (absoluut of rela
                     tief) of de orginele toestand terugroepen.
                     Het systeem vanuit een ander hoek bekijken is
                     geen probleem. Kortom: je hebt alles om met de
                     massa's te "spelen". Een must voor amateur
                     astronomen! Bij het programma is een help
                     functie, screenshots en ook een handleiding
                     onder MS-Word for Windows toegevoegd, zodat
                     je hieruit eenvoudig kunt afleiden wat er
                     allemaal mogelijk is met dit programma. Dit

    BEHANG        Behangrollen van Michiel Terpstra

         Wederom, gewoon omdat het leuk is, behang voor Windows
         Deze maand ingestuurd door Michiel Terpstra uit Arnhem.
         Je kunt deze BMP's gewoon naar je Windows directory
         laten uitpakken. Je kiest een nieuwe achtergrond door
         in het CONFIGURATIE SCHERM de optie BUREAUBLAD dubbel
         aan te klikken. Vervolgens kies je in ACHTERGROND het
         bestand van je keuze. Als de BMP te klein zijn kan je
         de kiezen voor de optie NAAST ELKAAR je kan zo een leuk
         patroon maken.

         Allereerst een compliment voor jullie blad.
         Het is iedere keer weer een feest om over de CD Rom
         te zwerven op zoek naar leuke programma's van lezers.

         Nu ben ik zelf ook een amateur programmeur en maak ik
         allerhande programmatjes.

         Geachte redaktie,

         Met veel plezier heeft ondergetekende in uw PC-consument de
         programma's in uw uitgebrachte CD-Rom welke bestemd is voor de
         familiesfeer bekeken.

         Ondergetekende levert veel informatie in de New-Age sfeer en had
         juist de nieuwe updates klaargemaakt voor het 'Groeinet' bbs van
         het in New-Age kringen welbekende tijdschrift Onkruid.

         Helaas - en dat bleek in juni op een bbs-informatieavond in 'De Roos'
         te A'dam weer eens - kunnen maar heel weinig mensen met een modem
         overweg terwijl bovendien de doelgroep vaak met zeer verouderde
         systemen werken. Betreffend bbs is bovendien een Mac.

         Bijgaande vindt u veel van dit materiaal dat voor het grootste
         gedeelte van mezelf is. Het probleem is echter dat lang niet alles
         van mezelf is - immers om voor "ons" zo typisch New-Age bbs is
         niet alleen zelf schrijven van belang maar ook verzamelen!

         Inhoudelijk betekent dat:  de gemaakte directorys zijn over het al-
         gemeen dus "verzamelingen" van diverse auteurs - echter zodanig
         samengesteld dat ze over hetzelfde onderwerp gaan. Vaak ook werk ik
         daarom samen met andere auteurs.

         Heel graag zou ik bijgaand materiaal op een uwer familie CD-ROM's
         geplaatst zien! En wel om redenen die ik u schetste, namelijk dat
         modemen voor onze doelgroep kennelijk toch te moeilijk is, terwijl
         anderzins onder jongeren een gigantische vraag is naar goed voor-
         lichtingsmateriaal cq. leuke New-Age programmaatjes.
