1.0 About this driver

This version of software does not include the full suite of Sportster Configuration and Monitoring programs. These programs allow full access to the features of your Sportster 128K. These programs are available either with the board that was shipped to you or from the 3COM web site at:

2.0 Known Problems and Issues
The following are known problems and/or issues with this version of the Sportster Software.
A. The Sportster may falsely detect your SPID(s) (when auto-detection is enabled) if your switch type is AT&T Custom (Multipoint). If it appears that the Sportster has detected your spid(s), but the Self Call Test fails, try turning auto-detection off and manually entering your SPID(s).
3.0 Advanced Parameters
The following advanced parameters can be set as part of the properties of the Sportster 128K.
Ring Pattern - Sets ring pattern for the board. Use External if you have the External Ring Generator attached to the board.
Beep On Data Calls - If ON an audible beep is generated whenever a data call is connected.
Run Diagnsotics On Start-up - If ON, the board will run board level diagnostics before connecting to the ISDN Network.
4.0 ISDN provisioning
If you have been given two phone numbers for your ISDN line and both numbers are NOT configured as VOICE/DATA then you may only have VOICE on one number. If this is the case, then that VOICE number must be put as the second phone number in the ISDN Configuration Wizard. One indicator that you may only have VOICE/DATA is when you go off hook with the phone and instead of hearing dial tone you hear a "fast" busy signal.
