  14. This file provides late-breaking information to supplement the
  15. Virtual Truck Installer documentation.

  20. Getting started

  23. Virtual Truck Installer is a lightweight application that sets up
  24. your computer for high-speed Internet access.  Virtual Truck steps
  25. you through various tasks necessary to install your Internet connection.
  26. Some screens collect information, some configure the computer's settings,
  27. and others perform tests.

  29. Virtual Truck Installer is never installed, so you don't need to
  30. uninstall anything after you run Virtual Truck.

  40. >>  Virtual Truck can stop responding if other
  41.     Internet applications are running in the background.

  43. >>  If you cancel during the installation of a
  44.     PPPoE client application, Virtual Truck can stop responding.

  47.     message when loading the PPPoE configuration file.

  49. >>  You may receive an error When installing a PPPoA or PPPoE connection
  50.     if you have never before opened the Modem control panel.  If you receive
  51.     an error stating "An error (unknown) occurred while configuring modem",
  52.     quit Virtual Truck, open the Modem control panel, close the control panel,
  53.     click "Save", then run Virtual Truck again.

  55. >>  On Mac OS X 10.0.4, Virtual Truck may try to set the network configuration
  56.     without first prompting you for an administrator password.  If this
  57.     happens, the configuration will not succeed, and the Internet tests
  58.     will fail.  Quit Virtual Truck and run it again.  Virtual Truck will
  59.     behave correctly the second time.

  61. >>  On Mac OS X 10.0 and later, text files launch SimpleText (under Classic)
  62.     by default.  You will not be able to view the report file when you quit
  63.     Virtual Truck unless Classic is already running.

  66.     OS 8.5, open the VTI Help folder and drag VirtualTruckHelp.htm onto
