  1. This appendix contains  the following html or related files:

  3. lst44.dll
  4. lst44.dll is an  OLE automation server created in chapter 4. This automation server exposes a method which returns the machine name.
  5.     
  6. Before the start page (a1.htm) is viewed in IE 3.0,   please make sure that lst44.dll is successfully registered by running
  7.         regsvr32 lst44.dll
  8.     The reason that lst44.dll has to be manually registered is that  there is no .CAB or .INF file     provided for lst44.dll.
  9.     
  10. lst44.dll depends on the following files: KERNEL32.dll, USER32.dll, ole32.dll,OLEAUT32.dll,ADVAPI32.dll and MSVCR40D.dll. Be sure these dlls are on the machine.

  12.     Since lst44.dll is not digital signed, the none security setting needs to be on in IE 3.0 in order to
  13.     view non-secured active content.

  15.     The following is the steps to  change the security level setting:
  16.         1. From the View menu, click Options.
  17.         2. Click the Security tab.
  18.         3. Click the Security Level button
  19.         4. Click None check box in Active content security area.

  27.      a2.htm uses ie.gif, dot.gif,  and lst44.dll
  28.      a3.htm uses active.htm, active.gif, secure.gif, secure.doc, and more.gif
