  1.       APRCalc - A Windows Shareware Utility

  3. Thanks for trying APRCalc!  Please read this brief message
  4. before the program is installed for you.
  5.  
  6. APRCalc was meant to be a very small and simple payment
  7. calculator, and one that would allow the user to investigate
  8. various loan scenarios quickly.  The four variables in an
  9. APR loan are the Amount Financed, the Term, the APR, and 
  10. the Payment; setting any three of these determines the fourth.
  11.  
  12. Typically, the user enters a value for each of the three
  13. known variables, and then click the "Calculate" button next
  14. to the field which is to be calculated.  As each field is
  15. entered, the user input is checked for validity (for 
  16. example, the term of the loan must be a reasonable
  17. counting number).  An amortization function, with the
  18. ability to print a hardcopy, is provided as well.

  20. A few options are included, such as the ability to watch the 
  21. calculations progress (and to see the final, exact result) 
  22. and to make the APRCalc window always stay on top.  The 
  23. standard Windows "Cut/Copy/Paste" functionality is
  24. supported.  All option settings, numerical values, and the
  25. size and position of the windows can optionally be saved 
  26. upon exit.  Quarterly, monthly, biweekly, and weekly
  27. payment periods are supported.  You can save individual
  28. scenarios in files and customize each with a different
  29. color for quick identification.  Breakeven date analysis
  30. for discount points is available.   A complete Windows Help
  31. system is provided.

  33. APRCalc is not free software.  It is shareware, which means
  34. you are expected to pay to register the program if you
  35. continue to use it.  Your donation will encourage me to
  36. write more Windows programs and improve existing ones.
