  11. What? Another CD Player on aminet?  Geez, they are getting as bad as MODs! :)

  13. Well, this one doesn't use MUI so for one thing you get to see something
  14. different looking. :)  You can change the entire look of the thing by going
  15. into DPaint or whatever and creating some pics, no special format is required
  16. and it even respects aspect ratios so that what you create will have the same
  17. appearance no matter what screen mode you use.  It also supports changers so
  18. those play lists you like actually become useful. :)

  20. REQUIREMENTS:

  22. The obvious.

  24. AmigaOs 3.x       (Isn't it about that time for you to upgrade if you haven't
  25.                    already?)

  27. IDE CD-ROM drive.  This program sends out ATAPI commands rather than SCSI
  28.                    commands.  If you have a SCSI CD-ROM drive you can try
  29.                    it and tell me if it works. It's not a large thing to
  30.                    add scsi support (it's mainly about changing packet sizes)
  31.                    but without a drive to test it with I haven't bothered. 
  32.                    Registrations would go a long way to ensuring this
  33.                    support shows up.

  35. ATAPI driver software. Something like asim_atapi.device or atapi.device.
  36.  
  37. Installed JFIF datatype.  (For the HiresImages cdplayer image or for your
  38.                            own images)  Not required if you don't use any
  39.                            jfifs in the gui.  I used a jfif for one of the
  40.                            images provided, but you can convert it to iff
  41.                            if you like, just keep the name the same.

  43. NOTE: Set FindBestDisplayMode in the JFIF Prefs if you wish your jpeg images
  44.       to have an aspect ratio other than the default.

  46. RECOMMENDED:

  48. Aminet:  /util/boot/ObtainBtrPens.lha or the equivalent.  The gui I made
  49.          for the program looks the same in 16 colors as it does in 256,
  50.          with a color precision set to EXACT. You can do your own if you
  51.          want something fancier, what I came up with took me a few hours
  52.          playing with DPaint. (See included Screen Shot)

  54. 68030 or better cpu.  It uses DataTypes extensively.  It'll take longer
  55.                       for the gui to load on slower cpus.  It all depends
  56.                       on the pics you use for the gui as well or if you
  57.                       use any at all.  It's as fast as gadtools without
  58.                       loading any pics, looks similar as well.

  60. AGA or a graphics card.  Large screen and lots of colors would really get
  61.                          the most out of the gui.

  101. should go and edit the tooltypes for the paths.
