Transcription: In England we have three music papers every week, so they're quite important to the kids and the culture. I was lucky enough to join the NME as a staff photographer in about 75, 76, just before the onslaught of punk. A lot of my friends just happened to be the people in the groups, and we just all hung out together. I happened to take the pictures, they did the singing, and other people put out the records.
