If you have used early, beta versions of Apollo (0.5 to 0.8), you will have developed your own menu structures which may be quite complex. Since Apollo stores your menus within itself, you will lose those menus if you simply replace your old copy of Apollo with the new one.
Enter Apollo converter. The converter will copy all the settings contained in an old copy of Apollo into the new one, making the necessary changes to their structure as it does so.
Start the converter by double-clicking in the usual way. You will then see a dialog telling you what it is about to do (since most people won’t have read this chapter). Find your old copy of Apollo for the converter, then your new one, then sit back and watch. When the conversion is complete, replace your old copy of Apollo with the new one and restart. Do not attempt to configure Apollo in any way before restarting, or you may destroy the new copy. You may, however, run Apollo localiser before restarting if you wish (see the next chapter).
