  4. WHAT IS FCC?
  5. FCC is a Microsoft Windows program that allows you to calculate and monitor the
  6. amount of fat (saturated and total fat), cholesterol, sodium and calories in 
  7. your diet. 
  8. You can estimate your risk of heart disease, identify foods with high
  9. fiber or Omega-3 contents which may lower your cholesterol level; or
  10. calculate your ideal weight, caloric need and caloric expenditure.
  11. FCC comes with a data base of over 1,000 carefully selected common 
  12. foods divided into 30 food groups. The program is a perfect companion to 
  13. American Heart Association's Fat and Cholesterol Counter, a reference for 
  14. everyone who wants a more healthful diet.

  16. INSTALLATION 
  17. Copy all files from the diskette to a directory which must be on your path.
  18.  
  19. RUNNING THE PROGRAM
  20. From the File menu in Program Manager or File Manager, choose Run. The Run 
  21. dialog box appears. Type 'fcc.exe' in the edit control. Then choose the OK 
  22. button or press ENTER.

  37. Miscellaneous Items. Other databases (Fiber, Omega-3, and Caloric Expenditure)
  38. are also expanded.
