Transcription: A short time ago, an American airplane dropped one bomb on Hiroshima. President Harry S. Truman broke the news to the American people. An atomic bomb more powerful than 20,000 tons of TNT exploded high above the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The bomb virtually erased the city and its inhabitants. Three days later, another A-bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. Within the month, When Japanese surrendered aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay, the war was over.
