A) Keep ModemPal and the ModemPal Stuff folder in the same folder. Don't change any names or remove any of the files, except in the case of C) below.
B) The first time you 'List' all modems, it takes between 10-30 seconds for the sorting to finish and the list window to appear. You will also experience this when you call the 'List' after adding or deleting modem records.
C) There is a slight bug while the ballon help is on. On some computers a window may be opened off the screen. This is very rare, but if it happens to you:
1) hit return
2) set all the preferences to off
3) quit
4) throw away 'ModemPal.Prefs' (in the Stuff folder)
5) turn off Balloon Help
6) relaunch ModemPal.
D) There are no other known bugs as of this writing, but if ModemPal were to crash, it will attempt to make a file called 'ModemPal.ERROR'. This file will contain information that may help diagnose the problem. You can read the file with any text editor, and/or send the file to me if you need help.
ModemPal is free. You can do whatever you want with it.
