* * * How does it work? * * *
Each bug has a set pattern.
Every time a bug eats a piece of food, it restarts it's pattern.
If a bug doesn't get enough food, it dies.
If a bug eats lots of food, it clones itself.
75% of these clones have a mutation.
Through this process of evolution, the bugs slowly become smarter as the programme continues to run.
* * * What is Bugs II? * * *
Bugs 2 is very similar to Bugs 1 except that each bug has 4 different modes.
Each of the 4 different modes is activated by hitting one of the 4 sides of the screen.
* * * George's Thoughts on Evolution * * *
Since I made a programme which evolves, I thought it would be a good time to tell you my thoughts on the Theory of Evolution. There has been some debate between people who believe in Darwin's Theory of Evolution and people who believe that God created people. As a Christian I believe that God created me. However, I still think evolution exists in a limited way. This programme is proof of that, and so are race horse breeders for that matter.
It is my belief that Darwin's Theory is a clever one taken too far. There is something obviously different about animals, a bigger difference than just pure intelligence. The way they act, their approach to life, it's all completely different than people. I find it an insult that many scientists consider me more no more than a smart ape. I'm not a monkey's cousin, or a monkey's uncle.
I find it strange that many scientists have no trouble believing in the possibility of extra terrestrials, even superior ones, but they won't even entertain the POSSIBILITY of the most superior extra terrestrial of them all...GOD! I think it is understandable for them to be skeptical, but it is illogical for them to rule out the possibilty entirely. In the same way in which it is possible for a Penguin (for example) to live day to day without seeing a person, so it is possible for a person to live day to day without seeing God.
In the same way I programmed this computer to evolve, could not God create evolution?
