You need to specify a Web Browser for the Internet-related features to work. If you’re not on the Internet, you can skip this step. Otherwise, press the ‘Select’ button and choose your Web Browser. HyperBox supports Netscape Navigator 2.0 and above. If you use another Web Browser and HyperBox doesn’t perform as expected, please call Insider Software and report the problem. We’ll do our best to make it work.
Hot Keys
You can use Hot Keys to Open and Create links without having to select the commands from the HyperBox menu. Click the appropriate button for ‘Open’ or ‘Create’ and enter your desired Hot Key strokes. You should select a keystroke that isn’t used by any of your applications by using a combination of the Control, Shift, Option, and Command modifiers and a non-modifier (regular) key. It’s a good idea to include at least the Control key because most applications don’t use this keystroke. If you use a keystroke that is used by an application, HyperBox will work but the application won’t receive the command.
Notification
You can disable the Notification message or the Notification sound or both. Uncheck the item to turn it off or check it to turn it on. If you turn the sound off with the Message on, the Message window will appear briefly. See Under the Hood for instructions to add your own Notification sounds.
