  18. Installation

  21. From File Manager, double-click SETUP.EXE.
  22.  
  23. Setup will prompt for a directory to install the software.  The
  24. default directory is "C:\SCOM".  Setup will load the following files:
  25.  
  26.     SCOMPGMR.EXE
  27.     SCOMPGMR.HLP
  28.     SAMPLE.SCM
  29.     README.TXT
  30.     
  31. requiring 184K.
  32.  
  33. Setup will install or update the following files in the system's 
  34. \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory:
  35.  
  36.     CMDIALOG.VBX
  37.     COMMDLG.DLL
  38.     MSCOMM.VBX
  39.     THREED.VBX
  40.     VBRUN300.DLL
  41.     VER.DLL
  42.     
  43. requiring a maximum of 601K.

  45. An S-COM Programmer group will be created in Program Manager with the 
  46. program's icon.

  49. Deinstalling

  52. To deinstall the S-COM Programmer Demo, delete the directory "C:\SCOM".
  53. In Program Manager, delete the S-COM program group.

  56. Known Problems
  57. --------------

  59. During installation, THREED.VBX may not be installed if a Program
  60. Manager replacement, eg. Dashboard, is currently using it.  To install
  61. THREED.VBX, exit from Windows and use the DOS copy command to copy
  62. THREED.VBX from the diskette to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
