Hello FBB SysOp,
This E-Mail bulletin is to advise that the new release of WinFBB v7.00
is now available for public evaluation.
Please note that this is an "Evaluation Release" and so you should
be warned that operation is not proven or fully de-bugged ta this time.
If you are not comfortable with the way in which your existing BBS
operates, and you do not have a working knowledge of the control files
which maintain the BBS you are urged not to install this software.
WinFBB v7.00 is self installing, and uses WINDOWS v3.x upwards.
U.K SysOps are advised that the existing M_FILTER, from G7AYI, which is
used at most BBS's will not fuction with this release of software, and so
you may violate local operating guidelines should you install WinFBB.
G7AYI is working on a .DLL upgrade but has missed a co-release due to ill
health.
Copies of the complete archive WFBB7-00.ZIP (1.3Mb) along with segmented
files 01-04 which are smaller and so easier to download, are available
now at GB7BBS. Callers should dial +44.1746.862531 and look in the
C:\FBBFILES\700 directory. Please -DO NOT- attempt transfers by sending
remote 7PSERV requests!
