  144.   The X10WC installation diskette contains

  150. BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO INSTALL X10WC
  151. ENSURE THAT THE VISUAL BASIC RUNTIME DLL
  152. (VBRUN300.DLL) RESIDES IN YOUR
  153. WINDOWS\SYSTEM SUBDIRECTORY.  THIS FILE
  154. IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE X10WC ZIP'ed
  155. ARCHIVE TO MINIMIZE DOWNLOAD TIME; IT IS
  156. AVAILABLE FROM A VARIETY OF SOURCES
  157. INCLUDING COMPUSERVE.

  159. To install X10WC:
  160.  
  161. 1) UNZIP the X10WC archive to a diskette
  162.    or sub-directory of your choice.
  163.  
  164. 2) Start Microsoft WINDOWS 3.1
  165.  
  166. 3) Select the RUN sub-menu item under
  167.    the Program Manager File Menu and
  168.    run the SETUP.EXE program that was
  169.    unZIP'ed in (1).
  170.  
  171. The SETUP.EXE Program will perform the
  172. following steps:
  173.  
  174. 1) Optionally display the README.WIN file if
  175.    it is found on the installation drive.
  176.  
  177. 2) Prompt you for the following
  178.    information:
  179.    - Backup sub-directory
  180.        (Default: C:\BACKUP)
  181.    - X10WC sub-directory
  182.        (Default: C:\X10WC)
  183.    - Windows Program Manager Group Name
  184.        (Default: X10WC)
  185.    - If X10WC is also to be installed in the
  186.      Startup Group with the /RECYCLE7
  187.      command line argumente
  188.    - If DDE Demo app is to be installed;
  189.      and if so; Visual Basic sub-directory
  190.  
  191. 3) Confirm the COMMPORT that your X-10
  192.    is attached to and modify your
  193.    X10WC.INI file if required.
  194.  
  195. 4) Confirm the installation information
  196.    before proceeding.
  197.  
  198. 5) Decompress & Copy the following files:
  199.  
  200.   a) To the WINDOWS subdirectory:

  203.   b) To the WINDOWS\SYSTEM subdirectory:

  255.      (if Visual Basic is installed on your system)
