  1. The WISP files are compressed into a self extracting file. 
  2.  
  3. Make a WISP directory on your hard drive.  (In the root directory use the
  4. MD WISP command).
  5.  
  6. Copy the WISP????.EXE file to the WISP directory on your hard drive before
  7. executing it.
  8.  
  9. Change directories to get into the WISP directory and run the EXE file.
  10. When you run the EXE file, the WISP files will be extracted into the
  11. WISP directory.  Use your text editor to read the GETSTART.TXT file.

  13. There will be an UPDATES.TXT file after the files are extracted.  Be sure
  14. to read this file.  It covers the additions and changes made in WiSP since
  15. the previous version.

  18. Windows 95 Notes:
  19. =================

  21. If WiSP is to be run under Windows 95, you will need to obtain a Windows 95
  22. compatible replacement for MSGMAKER.EXE.  Remove MSGMAKER.EXE and rename
  23. MSGMAKER.95 to MSGMAKER.EXE.  If WiSP is to be run under Windows 3.1, no
  24. replacement is required.

  27. Using the 16-bit KCT Driver With Win95
  28.  
  29. If you upgraded Windows to Win95, and WiSP was already installed when the
  30. upgrade was made, your WiSP configuration will migrate to Win95.  However,
  31. if you performed a fresh install of Win95 before WiSP was installed, and
  32. now wish to use the KCT driver for the first time (or want to change your
  33. calibration from a previous installation), perform the following steps 
  34. to install and calibrate your KCT while in Win95:

  36. Unzip the WKCTDRV.ZIP files and copy them to a floppy diskette.

  38. 1)  Click  "Start".
  39. 2)  Click  "Settings".
  40. 3)  Click  "Control Panel".
  41. 4)  Choose "Add New Hardware".
  42. 5)  Click  "Next".
  43. 6)  Click  "No".  (no need to search for Hardware)
  44. 7)  Click  "Next".
  45. 8)  Choose "Sound video and game controllers".
  46. 9)  Click  "Next".
  47. 10) Click  "Have Disk".
  48. 11) Insert the floppy with the KCT drivers (WKCTDRV.ZIP files)
  49. 12) Click  "OK".
  50. 13) Kansas City Tracker Driver for Windows will be highlighted.
  51. 14) Click  "OK".
  52. 15) Click  "Finish".
  53. 16) "Kansas City Tracker Driver Setup" (KC6WYG) will appear on the screen.
  54. 17) Select "Radio" and "Port".
  55. 18) Select "Band" Transmit and Receive and click "OK".
  56. 19) Select "Tuner Port Setup" for Port A and Port B and click "OK".
  57. 20) Select "Calibrate" for Rotator/Elevator.
  58. 21) Click  "OK" when all is done.
  59. 22) Click  "YES" to Re-Boot the computer. (for new settings to take effect)
