  3. You must have SHARE.EXE installed for Radio Manager 
  4. to run properly. Please consult your DOS manuals for
  5. help on installing SHARE.EXE.

  8. The executable and library files in this package are
  9. compressed. If you don't use the installation program
  10. or you need to copy one of the original files onto
  11. your hard disk, use the UNPACK.EXE file located on the
  12. Radio Manager INSTALL diskette.

  19. Radio Manager for Windows is a radio control program for the Icom R-7000
  20. Radio. It should also work with other Icom radios.  New version 2.0 works
  21. with the OptoScan456(tm) from OptoElectronics. Radio Manager handles 
  22. scanning, delays, 5 priority channels, lock-outs, presets, search ranges and
  23. more. You can choose your own delay amounts and priority checking intervals.
  24. Radio Manager stores data in Bank Files that can have 999 banks each.  
  25. Within a bank you can have 999 channels.  That's 998001 channels!  Your 
  26. computer's memory may limit this.  You choose your own channel and bank 
  27. numbers.  Each bank can have a description, and be enabled or locked out.
  28. Radio Manager comes with Frequency Manager (see FM.TXT), so you can 
  29. organize your frequency list.  Radio Manager can then extract information 
  30. from Frequency Manager files when needed.

  56. *    Mode Delay - If Radio Manager sets the frequency on your radio OK, 
  57.     but not the mode, you can increase this setting to make Radio

  59. *    History Window Hits - Radio Manager now includes the number of times
  60.     that active frequencies are listed in the History Window.
  61. *    History Window Save - Radio Manager can now save most of the 
  62.     information from the HistoryWindow to a text file.  This information
  63.     can then be manipulated using other programs for analysis.
  64. *    History Window Limit - The upper limit has been increased to 999
  65. *    Import - You can now import Frequency Manager files directly to 
  66.     Radio Manager Bank Files. You can now import 801-Scan text files

  70. *    Multiple Priorities - now you can choose your 5 favorite frequencies
  71.     as priority channels.
  72. *    Scan forwards and BACKWARDS. Great for returning to a previously

  74. *    Radio Manager now has Channel delays instead of Bank delays.
  75. *    Search Ranges from previous sessions automatically restored.

  83.     direction to scan from last session.
  84. *    History Window Bug Fixed - Partially input frequencies no longer
  85.     show up in the History Window (i.e. 1, 12, 123, 123.1) until you've
  86.     hit ENTER, and there is activity on the frequency.
  87. *    History Window Position Saved - Radio Manager now remembers where 
  88.     you positioned the History Window from the last session.
  89. *    Add Trunked Systems Quickly - Radio Manager now lets you quickly 
  90.     enter a trunked radio system that has several frequecies that
  91.     are evenly separated. See Add Trunked System in Help.
  92. *    Priority Bug in Manual mode Fixed - Radio Manager now returns to the
  93.     previously active frequency (even if it's not included in the 
  94.     current bank file) in manual mode after checking the priority 
  95.     channel(s).
  96. *    Active Priority Channels Displayed under the Priority Check Box
  97.     This makes it quick and easy to see which priorities are enabled.
  98. *    For SWL folks and those not using  the R-7000 Support for passband
  99.     widths and additional modes has been added (I think).  See Mode Box

  101. *    Radio Manager now supports more precise tuning to 1Hz.

  131. Bug Fixes
  132. *    Fixed the GPF when the Delay button was selected, and no bank file

  143. *    The OptoScan456 is a new interface for the Pro 2005/6 scanners
  144.     from Radio Shack.  The OptoScan456 decodes CTCSS and DCS squelch
  145.     tones, as well as DTMF digits.  It also reports signal strength.

  234. To install Radio Manager, simply copy the files in the RM.ZIP file into
  235. a directory of your choice.  Then create an icon by choosing the FILE|NEW
  236. menu item from the Windows Program Manger. Click on the OK button or press 
  237. ENTER.  Complete the Program Item Properties dialog box and press ENTER. 
  238. See the extensive on-line help to learn how to use Radio Manager.  You'll
  239. probably need to change items in the OPTIONS|RADIO SETUP menu item that are
  240. specific to your setup.

  242. *** If you get a message asking "Is SHARE.EXE Loaded?" when you try to run
  243. Radio Manager or Frequency Manager then add the line below to your 
  244. CONFIG.SYS file located in your root directory.  You can use a text editor 
  245. to change the file.  You might need to specify a different directory than 
  246. the one below depending on the location of SHARE.EXE on your system.
