  1. These files are text only and are dirct from Internet Usenet alt.rec.filename
  2. I have been compiling them daily and they are rather long for just a 3-4 month
  3. period, however the quantity of information that is available in these files 
  4. is more than adequate to justify taking the time to browse through subjects of
  5. interest. The files can be over 4 megabytes so thousands of messages appear 
  6. in each file.  A good way to "bookmark" where you last read to is to write the
  7. date & time of the last message you read down.  When you return to read some
  8. more just fast forward through the messages the the date & time of your last 
  9. read message. Please understand that if you see a Great Deal in the _SWAP.TXT 
  10. file it has probably been taken already. The Internet is a fine way to get the 
  11. information out about any subject, and in particular it has become a necessary
  12. outlet for serious hams.  If you have no access to internet, then we will make
  13. every reasonable attemp to bring it to you through this CD-ROM.  Since Usenet
  14. files are not archived on the Internet, this CD may become an indispensable
  15. library for information seekers.  The Usenet files will be published only once
  16. for the immediate 4 month period preceeding the publication date of this CD.
  17. Each CD issue will carry a totally new 4 months of archived messages.

  20. a file online with this CD just highlight the file name and press Enter.
