Hey,
Regarding the FT-530, just open the bottom of the radio; (take off the
batter pack) and then unscrew the four small screws on the bottom of
the radio. Then find a green wire hanging down.. (don't forget to
take out the memory backup lithium battery).. clip the green wire and
then reassemble everything. Hold the up and down arrow buttons on the
dtmf pad and turn the radio on.. this will allow you to rx/tx on the
extended frequencies. ok .. it works trust me.
