I am sure you will be more than pleased with this highly professional
program. Samfb5 was written by Alex Robinson who codes for a living.
This program was sort of an accident, but with some guidance from
the eventual users Alex was able to produce a code practice/keyer
program unmatched in performance and appearance. And he isn't even
a Ham!
Samfb5 is a Public Domain program. As with almost all PD software
the author requests a miniscule donation to provide a small compensation
and incentive to produce more of the same fabulous results and updates
to existing versions. Users probably do not realize the great personal
sacrafice involved in undertaking such an involved project. Alex has
uploaded to the Bit-By-Bit BBS every version of his program, usually
the same day as it was tested. And he has been responsive to the bugs
and additional features the beta testers have suggested. Those uploads
alone comprise more than just two registration would cover.
Alex has agreed to permit registration of this program by one of two
ways:
a. Directly to him at Tranzoa
b. Through THIS BBS, with a small percentage being
retained for the SySops expenses
Disk versions are also being offered at Hamfests and computer related
activities.
Personally, I don't care which method you choice, but PLEASE
don't just keep your program and use it at will without even
the slighest desire to register. No one is making any money
by distributing PD software, except the big boys like maybe
Jim Button of ButtonWare.
Just consider, these days you could hardly buy or build a code
practice oscillator for the price of registering Samfb. Don't
you think its worth it?
Registrations MAY be mailed to:
