  6. PROFILE 2 - The Atari system analyser
  7.    This is *the* most comprehensive system analyser available and fully
  8.    compatible with all Atari machines and Atari emulators and operating
  9.    systems including MultiTOS, MagiC, MagiCMac, MagiCPC, Geneva, GEMulator,
  10.    STonX, PaCifiST.

  78.    Each page consists of many items and can run to hundreds of lines each.

  80.    XBRA and XNAM compliancy can be checked for on System Variables and
  81.    Exception Vectors via a dialog or double-clicking on the relevant line in
  82.    the display window.

  84.    PROFILE 2 is shareware and costs a minimum of 5 UK Pounds to register.
  85.    This provides a key which gives you access to all parts of the program.
  86.    All printing and disk operations are unavailable in the non-registered
  87.    version.

  89.    Send 6 UK Pounds to Mark S Baines and he'll send you a disk with the
  90.    latest version of PROFILE 2 fully registered with your own personal key,
  91.    together with all the other Linnhe Computing programs (some not available
  92.    here). For outside of Europe add an extra 1 UK pound for postage.

  122. DSKCHK - Floppy disk checker
  123.    A simple TOS-based program which can be used from a command line
  124.    interface, which will report on the format and structure of a floppy disk
  125.    and test it's integrity, reporting on any errors found.

  128. SEEKMS - Floppy disk seek rate setter
  129.    A series of programs to set the seek rates of the floppy disk drives,
  130.    essential for those that have updated to a HD floppy disk drive.

  133. SET_DEV7 - Set device 7 as the default serial port on the Falcon
  134.    A little program that sets the default system serial device on a Falcon to
  135.    device 7 by doing a Bconmap(7). This remains in effect until another
  136.    program resets the device or a reset. It should overcome most of the
  137.    problems people have with the Modem 1 port not working, especially after
  138.    running several comms programs.

  144. STDCODES - Dial Codes Index CPX
  145.    Dial Codes Index is a CPX module for the Atari XCONTROL panel accessory
  146.    (or alternatives, such as ZCONTROL or COPS). It allows you to find which
  147.    Place, Country or Use corresponds to a particular dialling code or visa
  148.    versa. Other details are also shown. Over 4600 UK national and
  149.    international codes are available.

  152. POSTCODE - Post Codes Index CPX
  153.    Post Codes Index is a CPX module for the Atari XCONTROL panel accessory
  154.    (or alternatives, such as ZCONTROL or COPS). It allows you to find where a
  155.    UK Post Code refers to or the Outcode for a particular town.

  158. CHAR_TAB - Character Table CPX
  159.    Character Table is a CPX module for the Atari XCONTROL panel accessory (or
  160.    alternatives, such as ZCONTROL or COPS). It shows the current system font
  161.    and allows any character to be clicked on and its value in hexadecimal,
  162.    decimal, octal and binary to be displayed.

  165. KEYCODES - Show Key Codes
  166.    Show Key Codes is a CPX module for the Atari XCONTROL panel accessory (or
  167.    alternatives, such as ZCONTROL or COPS) and is aimed mostly at
  168.    programmers. It allows you to type any key combination and displays the
  169.    Key Scan Code, the Shift State and the Key ASCII Code. Values are shown in
  170.    hexadecimal, decimal and octal. In addition, the ASCII representation of
  171.    the key combination is shown and the Keyboard Legend, i.e. that written on
  172.    the main key pressed.

  175. CAR_REG - Car Registration CPX
  176.    Car Registration is a CPX module for the Atari XCONTROL panel accessory
  177.    (or alternatives, such as ZCONTROL or COPS). It allows you to find where a
  178.    car was registered in the UK and its year of registration.

  181. CALLFSEL - Call File Selector CPX
  182.    Call File Selector is a CPX module for the Atari XCONTROL panel accessory
  183.    (or alternatives, such as ZCONTROL or COPS). It allows you to call the
  184.    file selector from within any program which has access to the menu bar and
  185.    the XCONTROL panel accessory. It is compatible with all file selectors.

  188. WAY_PNTS - Way Points Difference CPX
  189.    Way Points Difference is a CPX module for the Atari XCONTROL panel
  190.    accessory (or alternatives, such as ZCONTROL or COPS). It shows the
  191.    Distance between two UK Ordnance Survey National Grid References and the
  192.    Magnetic Bearing of the second from the first.

  196.    Week Day of Date is a CPX module for the Atari XCONTROL panel accessory
  197.    (or alternatives, such as ZCONTROL or COPS). It shows the Week Day Name,
  198.    Day Number and Week Number of the year for any date entered by the user.

  202.    Stamp Values is a CPX program for the Atari XCONTROL panel accessory (or
  203.    alternatives, such as ZCONTROL or COPS). It shows you the combination of
  204.    stamps necessary to make up a certain value inputted.

  207. FONTS

  209. MSB_ANSI - MSB style Atari ANSI system fonts
  210.    These four GDOS bitmapped fonts are equivalent to the three Atari system
  211.    fonts and based on them, but include the ANSI characters suitable for
  212.    comms on-line use and those using so-called IBM printer fonts in their
  213.    word processor. In effect the fonts are those officially called PC-8 Code
  214.    Page 437 on the PC. Protext users will also find them particularly useful.

  216. MSBATARI - MSB style Atari system fonts
  217.    These four GDOS bitmapped fonts are equivalent to the three Atari system
  218.    fonts and based on them. They were designed for those who wanted the
  219.    clarity and consistency of the MSB_ANSI fonts but wanted the Atari
  220.    character set instead of the ANSI characters.
  221.  
  222.    For both styles, the four fonts are in point sizes 20, 10, 9 and 8 which
  223.    are equivalent to the Atari system fonts 32x16, 16x8, 8x8 and 6x6. They
  224.    are based on the standard Atari fonts but greatly altered to make them
  225.    easier to read and typographically consistent.

  227.    The 8x8 9 point font is particularly readable and suitable for constant
  228.    use where programs allow.
  229.  
  230.    These fonts can be installed as normal system fonts by NVDI, NeoDesk,
  231.    Fontkit or Warp 9 users.

  233.    If you ask nicely Mark will also add, subtract or alter any characters
  234.    that you want to customise the font to your particular needs. He's good
  235.    like that :-)
