------A word about Shareware, and what you're getting------
This version of Knowledge Vision is being distributed as SHAREWARE.
Shareware distribution gives a user the chance to try software before
buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue to use it, you
must purchase a licensed copy.
Shareware is really a distribution method, not a type of software.
It provides the ultimate money back guarantee: if you don't like, you
don't pay for it.
This copy of Knowledge Vision is labeled an "Evaluation Copy". IT IS
A FULLY FUNCTIONING VERSION OF THE LICENSED COPY YOU RECEIVE WHEN YOU
PURCHASE IT, with the following exceptions:
you are limited to 600 documents in any project
you may only create one project in addition to the distributed Tutor project
while Knowledge Vision is capable of giving you many "Home Pages"
- graphical environments in which you store and navigate information - only
one Home Page is provided.
What you get when you purchase a licensed copy, you will receive:
a version of Knowledge Vision without limitations as to how many projects
you may have, or how many documents you may create in a single project
more graphical environments - "rooms" - to store information in
All information about how to get a licensed copy of Knowledge Vision is
provided in the help file. A form is provided which you may fill out
and mail in. You can access it from the program's Help menu.
You can pay by check, VISA, or MASTERCARD.
THE LAST WORD ON ORDERING AND PRODUCT INFORMATION IS ALWAYS OUR INTERNET WEBSITE:
http://www.towerhill.com
------Minimum Requirements------
To run Knowledge Vision, you must have a machine capable of running
Windows 3.1, Windows NT, or Windows 95. If you machine is running one
of these operating systems, it can run Knowledge Vision. There is only
one additional requirement:
You must have at least 256 color graphics capability! 65k colors is
even better. This is because of Knowledge Vision's rich visual graphics
environment. The product will not run if you can only display 16 colors.
------Installation Instructions------
To Install from Windows 3.1 or Windows NT:
From the Program Manager, select "Run..." from the "File" Menu.
If you know the directory that you UnZipped KV.ZIP - for example
"c:\temp" , you may type in the program to run - for example
"c:\temp\setup.exe". Otherwise, you may click the Browse... button
and look for the directory. When you find it, double click the
setup.exe entry.
Click OK in the Run dialog box.
The setup program will load and show you a Welcome dialog box. Click
Continue.
Next a dialog box appears asking you for a directory to install
Knowledge Vision in. If you want a directory other than "c:\kv",
enter it in the Path edit box.
Click Continue.
The setup program will unpack all Knowledge Vision files and place
them in the directory you chose. If the directory did not exist,
one will be created. If it did exist, and had a previous copy of
the program, it will be updated, and your existing project files
left intact.
When finished, Setup will create a program group called Knowledge
Vision, and place icons for running the program and running the help
file in it.
The Setup Exit dialog box reminds you that you can get a "guided tour"

labeled "Knowledge Vision" that sits on the desktop. IT IS A GOOD
