  13. QUESTION:  I get the message "EGA / VGA Monitor required." when I  try
  14.            to run Chinese Checkers.  What I do?
  15.  
  16. ANSWER:    Your IBM compatible PC doesn't have an EGA or VGA  monitor.
  17.            If you want to run Chinese Checkers, you will have to go to
  18.            a  computer store to see it run.  Maybe you'll decide  that
  19.            it's time to get a new computer!

  22. QUESTION:  Can I run Chinese Checkers from a floppy drive?
  23.  
  24. ANSWER:    Yes, by entering the command CHINESE, but the game will run
  25.            MUCH slower than it would on a hard drive.

  28. QUESTION:  How do I install Chinese Checkers to my hard drive?
  29.  
  30. ANSWER:    None of our software is copy protected so the software  can
  31.            be  easily  copied to your hard drive using the  MKDIR  and
  32.            COPY  commands.  If  you  are  unfamiliar  with  these  DOS
  33.            commands,  we have provided a simple  installation  routine
  34.            for less experienced users:
  35.              1.  Insert the diskette into the floppy drive you want to
  36.                  install from.
  37.              2.  Type A: (or B:) then press [Enter].
  38.              3.  Type INSTALL, then press [Enter]. (Type INSTALL D: if
  39.                  you want to install to your D: Drive)
  40.              4.  Installation   to   your  hard   drive   will   begin
  41.                  automatically.

  44. QUESTION:  My  mouse  works in Windows, why doesn't it  work  in  your
  45.            software?

  47. ANSWER:    Windows has special built-in drivers to support  mice.  Our
  48.            software  looks  for a Microsoft  compatible  mouse  driver
  49.            which is loaded when you  turn on your computer. A diskette
  50.            should have  come with your mouse which contains MOUSE.SYS,
  51.            MOUSE.COM  or  similar  files.  Try  placing  the   command
  52.            MOUSE.SYS in your CONFIG.SYS file or the  command MOUSE.COM
  53.            in  your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.   These are the files that  DOS
  54.            executes when you  turn on your computer, and if your mouse
  55.            is  Microsoft compatible, your mouse should now work.

  58. QUESTION:  I  get  the  message "Not enough memory"  and  my   program
  59.            doesn't run. What can I do?
  60.  
  61. ANSWER:    You  need a computer with at least 640K memory to  run  our
  62.            software.  Run  the CHKDSK command to make  sure  that  you
  63.            have "655360 total bytes memory".   The last line tells you
  64.            how  many bytes your  computer has free. If  your  computer
  65.            has less than  512000 bytes free, a program loaded in  your
  66.            CONFIG.SYS  or  AUTOEXEC.BAT  file is  taking  up   memory.
  67.            Locate a knowledgeable person and ask  him/her to help  you
  68.            get  these programs out of your  memory. If you have a  286
  69.            or 386 computer and 1  megabyte of memory or more, you  can
  70.            free additional memory by upgrading to DOS 5.0.

  73. QUESTION:  I  don't understand what "Shareware" is.  Why do I have  to
  74.            order Chinese Checkers if I already have a copy of it?

  76. ANSWER:    Because  you  don't a license to run it.   At  the  opening
  77.            screen  of Chinese Checkers press the F1 key.   A  detailed
  78.            explanation  will  appear for you there.   After  you  have
  79.            pressed the F1 key, you can press the F1 key again to print
  80.            an order form.
