  2. The object  is to remove, by jumping over
  3. adjacent pieces, all except ONE of the pegs
  4. from the board. The last peg must be located
  5. at the upper left-hand corner of the board. 
  6.  
  7. Each move must be a jump over an ADJACENT
  8. peg, either in a horizontal or vertical direction.
  9. To move a peg, place the cursor over it and
  10. then click and hold the mouse button down.
  11. Drag the peg over an adjacent piece and onto
  12. an empty square. Release the mouse button
  13. (jumped pegs are automatically removed by
  14. the computer).

  17. The object  is to turn over all except one of
  18. the Mahjong tiles.
  19. To begin, click on any of the tiles - a boarder
  20. will appear around the selected tile. Count-
  21. ing this tile as 1, and counting clockwise, 
  22. locate the fourth tile (the cursor will change
  23. into a cross to inform you that you are now 
  24. over the fourth tile). Click on this tile and it 
  25. will turn over, revealing the face of the Mah-
  26. jong tile. Continue this sequence of clicking 
  27. on the first and fourth tile of each sequence 
  28. until all the tiles except one are face up.
  29. To unselect a chosen tile, simply double-
  30. click on it.

  33. OBJECTIVE: Bamboo is an ancient
  34. "cat and mouse" strategy game. The object
  35. of the game is to avoid being captured by
  36. your computer opponent (represented by
  37. the YELLOW peg). If you have not yet 
  38. been captured by the eighteenth (18) com-
  39. puter move, you will have won the game.

  41. TO BEGIN: To set-up a game, select the
  42. "Reset Pegs" option from the Game menu.
  43. Then click on the "Start" button (located at
  44. the lower left-hand corner of the game 
  45. board) to begin play. Note that you must
  46. select the "Reset Pegs" option prior to the
  47. start of each new game.

  51. MOVEMENT: The Computer moves first.
  52. Players then take turns moving their pegs
  53. between adjacent squares. Pieces can only
  54. move between squares connected by a line.

  56. Movement is accomplished by the drag and
  57. drop method (Place the cursor over your peg
  58. then click and hold the mouse button down.

  60. the mouse button. The peg will drop onto its

  65. CAPTURE: The computer will attempt to 
  66. occupy the same square as the player's,
  67. and thus "capture" his piece. Alternatively,
  68. the computer may corner the player's piece
  69. so that no further movement is possible on
  70. the players part.

  72. HINT: Initially, the computer will monitor the 
  73. player's movement and not play a very 
  74. aggressive game. This is a good time for the 
  75. player to plan out his/her strategy, as after 
  76. the first 10 moves the computer will pursue 
  77. the player relentlessly.

  80. The object  is to rearrange the tiles into nu-
  81. merical order, with the one, two and three in the
  82. top row, and four, five and six in the bottom row,
  83. as follows:

  88. MOVEMENT: Click on the tile you wish to move,
  89. then click on an empty square. Note that a tile may
  90. only be moved to an adjoining empty space. You 
  91. may unselect a chosen tile by double clicking on it.
