A note to parents.
During much of the design of this game my 2 year old and 4 year old were
rushing in and out of the studio, throwing balls at my head and jumping up
on my lap to play the game I was so obsessed with creating. I chose mechanical
enemies to avoid the blood and gore other games feel are necessary for
realism.
Still, this game has the violence of destroying robots and the apparent
peril of being attacked by them. The mazes can also generate occasional
frustration. Use discretion and monitor sensitive and imaginative children
so that the fun does not turn into anxiety or nightmares. Play the game
yourself and decide if it is OK. It was designed for adults and older
children after all.
If you play the game you will note that a moral dilemma unfolds for the player
as they continue to receive radio messages that begin to conflict. Consider
using this as a point of departure for family conversation about science
fiction and values. Hopefully this is a game you can all enjoy.
Best wishes for fun family computer experiences.
