I posted the pinout information here a while back but can't seem to
find a copy of my message. The VIC and early C64 had a +5V signal and
a composite color output on a 5-pin DIN, where the newer C64 has an
8-pin DIN and separate chroma/luma outputs. The pinouts can be found
in the manuals for the computer.
