  21. bust, but if you feel an OVERWHELMING

  40. Updates to Version 10.0 from 8.0/9.0

  43. o Fix to the PIC/WDS/MUS/STR bug.  
  44.   The screen nolonger flickers when 
  45.   you have all four files for use in 
  46.   a song.
  47.  
  48. o Redesigned Screens and menus
  49.  
  50. o Two new MODEs called MIDI P and 
  51.   MIDI M.  These are disabled if the 
  52.   MIDI.MODULE is not loaded.
  53.  
  54. o MIDI support through the use of an 
  55.   additional program called the 
  56.   MIDI.MODULE.  (This module is not 
  57.   released with this program, but 
  58.   will be released at a later date.  
  59.   This version of the player will 
  60.   check for the module and load it if 
  61.   present.)

  63. o Stereo EXPANDER option.  This will 
  64.   cause the player to play all 3 
  65.   voice (MONO) SIDs in a 6 voice 
  66.   format.  You will have control of 
  67.   the delay between the right and 
  68.   left channels.  This gives a reverb 
  69.   or expander effect to the music 
  70.   making it sound fuller.

  72. o On the Song Selector, 6 voice songs 
  73.   are represented by an asterik (*) 
  74.   instead of the number 6.
  75.  
  76. o Play SIDs at one third of their 
  77.   normal speed with the SLOW command 
  78.   on the KEYBOARD screen. Also, the 
  79.   FASTFORWARD has been fixed to work 
  80.   more reliably.  You must also now 
  81.   use the new NORMAL command to 
  82.   return from the SLOW or FAST 
  83.   command.

  85. o Fix to the CREDIT COLOR bug.  If 
  86.   the credits have any color codes in 
  87.   them the RANDOM line color selector 
  88.   will be turned off.

  90. o On the KEYBOARD SCREEN you will be 
  91.   shown how many times the current 
  92.   playing SID will play before moving 
  93.   to the next one.  The number is 
  94.   between the word PLAYING: and the 
  95.   name of the song.

  97. o Additional support for the Enhanced 
  98.   SID Editor commands.

  100. o New additions to the EXTENDED WORDS 
  101.   feature of the player.  You can now 
  102.   have full screen animated text 
  103.   graphics from within a WDS file.

  142. o You can now stamp a 3 voice SID 
  143.   using a new PARAMETER format.  You 
  144.   may stamp the SID for MONO, STEREO, 
  145.   or DELAY format.  MONO will play 
  146.   the SID in 3 voices only.  STEREO 
  147.   will play in the normal 3 voice 
  148.   stereo format.  DELAY allows you to 
  149.   select an EXPANDER value for the 
  150.   SID as well as transposing 3 of the 
  151.   voices up or down the scale to give 
  152.   a true psuedo 6 voice sound for a 3 
  153.   voice SID.

  155. o Bug Fix on the change disk 
  156.   comparison routine.  Before, some 
  157.   songs would register as having an 
  158.   STR file when in fact they didn't.  
  159.   This was because the comparison 
  160.   routine had a flaw in it.  This has 
  161.   now been fixed.

  163. o You can now press the RUN/STOP key 
  164.   to abort the directory listing when 
  165.   you use the 'D' - Disk Directory 
  166.   command.
  167.  
  168. o When using the built-in FAST LOADER 
  169.   you could corrupt a disk when using 
  170.   the DOS command to scratch or 
  171.   rename a file.  This has been 
  172.   cured.
  173.  
  174. o There is a new opening screen that 
  175.   will play music as the screen 
  176.   forms.  There is a new command 
  177.   called 'O' (for opening) that will 
  178.   allow you to select either the new 
  179.   opening or the old 8.0 style 
  180.   opening. (The new opening is the 
  181.   default)
  182.  
  183. o Plus many other cosmetic changes 
  184.   and internal changes to the program 
  185.   that are not visable.  And I have 
  186.   probably forgotten a couple, but 
  187.   this a fairly complete overview of 
  188.   the additions.
