Super Chopper Supercharger¢¢Written by John E. (TEBSF)¢¢Anyone one uses any version of Super¢Chopper will be familiar with the¢pause after a chopped file has loaded.¢The reason for this is that the ¢program is being 're-created' into its¢original memory locations. A small¢modification to the chopped file will¢do all this 're-creating' at a 33%¢increase in speed! That is where this¢program comes in, in a nutshell all it¢does is load the chopped file, modify¢it and re-write the file back to the¢disk. When your new file loads it turns¢ANTIC off, does all the 're-creating',¢turns ANTIC on and runs the program.¢*¢In my opinion the new file is better in¢a couple of ways.¢1) The screen is blacked out whilst the¢ file is being 're-created', which¢ looks better than staring at a¢ standard Mode 0 screen.¢2) 'Re-creating' is done at a 33%¢ increase in speed, making most files¢ run almost immediately.¢¢Of course the final decision to use it¢is up to you, I know people who aren't¢bothered by the pause after loading¢(which includes a certain Scottish¢programmer - Hi Spike!), but I¢personally wrote the program to combat,¢what to me was a major nuisance.¢¢It'll work on old Super Chopper files¢and the new Super Chopper X1 creations.¢¢John E.
