  5. PURPOSE OF PROGRAM

  7. Data Grabber is a desktop search tool for the internet.  Select a database to target, enter a query, click GO.  The results of your search will display on your default browser.

  11. HOW TO INSTALL
  12. --------------
  13. [From Disk]
  14. Insert disk in drive.  Click Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs.  Select setup.exe.

  16. [From .zip file]
  17. If using WinZip, installation will be automatic.  Otherwise, unzip dgrab_21.zip to a temperary folder (e.g. C:\Windows\Temp).  Click Start | Run... and enter the full path to the setup file (e.g. C:\Windows\Temp\setup.exe).

  19. NOTICE: If installing over a previous version, either delete the old version first (datagrab.exe and Main.txt), install to a different folder, or goto http://www.wildcowpublishing.com/datagrab.html and download the much smaller update if you are reading this prior to downloading dgrab_21.zip.

  23. HOW TO RUN

  26. Make sure you are first connected to the internet.

  28. Click on Start | Programs | DATAGRAB .
  29.  
  30. Data Grabber will start by placing an icon in the tray.  Left or right click the icon to activate Data Grabber.  (Right clicking also pops up a menu.)

  32. Select a database name from the small window.  Enter your search string in the text box.  Click GO.

  34. Your default browser will activate with the search results.
