Release notes for Office Manager Professional Version V2.0
----------------------------------------------------------
Office Manager Professional consists of a suite of utilities for the
Home or Office which are launched from the Office Manager "Task bar"
located at the top of the screen. This allows the user to have
access to the desktop to run other programs and access shortcuts
as required.
The program features an easy to use interface for the everyday tasks
a computer user requires such as:
Finances
Telephone numbers and addresses
Reminders
Letter and Memo creators
Scheduling and delegating
Record keeping
Appointments
Office Manager Professional takes the paper from your desk and places
it onto your Computer Desktop. Post-Pads, action pads, memos, letters,
accounts etc. are only a mouse click away. Maximise the use of your
time by having all the straightforward tasks you carry out contained
in one application designed for ease-of-use, operating as simply as
possible.

Office Manager Professional Edition

For details of the User Guide for the operation of "Finance Manager"
refer to the User Guide in the "Help" Menu found in the
Finance Manager main screen.

User Guide for Phone and Address Manager
----------------------------------------------
Complete telephone and address database with encryption and
password protection if required.
Enter Surname, Forename and Telephone Number into the data
entry boxes. If required an address can also be entered. The first
line of the address is displayed in the short address box on the
listing. Clicking on Add enters the item, the program automatically
sorts the entries in alphabetical order by Surname.
To view all the details of an entry click on the item in the listing
then select View/Edit. The details can be updated if required by
clicking on replace, otherwise select cancel.
To delete an item click on it and select "Delete"
To enter a password click on the Password Setup tab and follow the
on screen instructions.
Entries are automatically saved when the close box (x) is selected.

User Guide for Action Today Manager
----------------------------------------------
List the important daily tasks to be completed and display on
your computer screen as required. When a task is entered it
is automatically saved when the close box (x) is selected.
The current date is displayed on the Action Today pad. To remove
an entry simply highlight and select the delete key from the
keyboard.

User Guide for Reminder Manager
----------------------------------------------
Simply type in important messages which you need to be reminded of.
The Reminder Manager will Pop-Up these messages at set intervals on
screen. To select the time intervals click on "Settings" on the
Reminder pad.
Entries are automatically saved when the close box (x) is selected.
IMPORTANT - You can link your Reminder Manager messages to the
Special "Postie" Screen Saver which comes with Office
Manager Professional. A dynamic link function displays
the current postie message as part of the screen saver
preventing you from forgetting an important message.
To activate the Dynamic Screen Saver go to Display in the Windows 95
Control Panel from the Start button and select Postie as your Screen
Saver.
The current postie message will now display on the fade in/out
Screen Saver.

User Guide for Letter Manager

Special easy to use letter creator with automatic address entry.
When you first select Letter Manager enter your own or office address
in the "From" box. This will be the default from address until you
change it.
If you are using pre-printed note paper with a heading
select the "use headed paper" check box and enter the distance in mm
as measured from the top of the page to where the recipients address
will appear.
Next enter the Name/Address to the recipients and click OK.
Your address the Date and the Recipients address will be
automatically entered along with "Dear ", ready for you to continue
writing the letter. Choose fonts etc. as required, colour text can
also be incorporated if required. Choose Paper from the "Settings"
menu to adjust the paper size if necessary.
The File menu allows loading, saving, printing operations to be
carried out.

User Guide for Memo Manager

Write, print and save Memos with ease. When you first select Memo
Manager enter your own Name or Position in the "From" box. This will
be the default until you change it. Enter who the memo is to be
sent to and a reference if required. Once the text of the memo has
been entered select save. Memos can be loaded back in from the load
box.

User Guide for Task Schedule Manager

Schedule your tasks for the days and weeks ahead. Assign delegated
tasks and note work which is overdue. Using a dynamic link function
the "Task Bar" icon changes colour from blue to red to indicate
when there are overdue tasks in the Task Schedule Manager.
Enter the Task and who has Responsibility for the task into the Data
Entry box along with a target date.
A yellow line - indicated the task has been delegated.
A Green line - indicates the task is complete
A Red line - indicates the task is overdue
Adding, removing and indicating a completed task is carried out by
clicking on the task in the Task List and clicking on the appropriate
button.
Entries are automatically saved when the close box (x) is selected.

User Guide for Appointments Manager
----------------------------------------------
Set an alarm to remind you of important meetings and events.
Enter the appointment, the time and date in the "Set Alarm" data
entry box and click on add. To remove an appointment click on it
in the schedule and choose remove.
Once set appointments which are due will turn red. The dynamic link
function will also change the "Task Bar" icon to indicate
"Alarm Set" as a reminder.
Clicking on the close box (x) will automatically save all
appointments entered.

User Guide for Day/Date Manager

Determine the day of the week for any date from the year 1752 to
2252. Even check the day you were born on.
The calendar gives the correct day for any VALID date (the USER
must ensure that only valid dates are entered. You could type
in 50/14/1993 this will give a Thursday!!!

User Guide for Travel Claim Manager

Keep track of all travel claims. Enter Name, Department, Staff Number
Car details. Input the details of the journey into to data input box
and click on add, or press the enter key.
Tip: Save Claims in month format eg. 311098 for 31st October 1998
Clicking on the close box (x) will prompt you to save all claims
entered.

User Guide for Staff Absences Manager

Note and record details of all staff absences and print out for easy
reference.
When Staff Absences is first run enter the Department
name. In the "Details of Absence" data box enter name, date and
reason. To add and remove items select the item by clicking on
it and choose the appropriate button.
Use "View" to select and load absences for a chosen month into the
display. Clicking on the close box (x) will automatically save all
absences entered.

User Guide for Internet Web Manager

Auto link to your favourite web browser. The first time you click on
Internet Web Manager icon the software will attempt detect web
browsers on your system. A path to a web browser can also be entered
manually. Select "Launch" to create the auto link.
Left clicking the task bar icon will auto link the browser.
If you wish to change the auto link then right click the Internet
Web Manager icon in the Office Manager task bar.

User Guide for Intranet Digital Mail Service
----------------------------------------------
Digital Mail Services (D-Mails) are available to multi-licence
users of the Office Manager Professional suite of programs,
for RJ45/BNC connected systems running "Client for Microsoft
Networks" or compatible software.
D-Mail allows users connected via a nominated "server" computer
to send and receive internal D-Mails, within a password protected
and encrypted environment. The system is managed through an
Intranet Systems Administrator accessing the nominated Server.
To apply for multi-user licences contact DML_Software for a shareware
version of the software stating the number of users required.
Licences are available for 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100+ users. Discounts
are applicable on all multi-user software licences.

User Guide for Net Time Manager V1.11a
Office Manager Professional Edition
----------------------------------------------
Internet Timer provides a constant readout, in the taskbar, of how
long you spend logged on to the internet. The program also keeps
track of the total cost of phone charges and time, spent on the
internet, recording this in a data log.
Use with any currency having the format 0.00 eg. Stirling ú56.23,
USA Dollars $88.45, French Francs Fr45.62 etc.
as in UK currency: ú1 = 100p
Notes for Use of Net Time Manager
1. When you first run Net Timer enter, if necessary, the required
phone rates for business, evening or weekend along with the minimum
call charge (if applicable). The default rates are for BT charges
in the United Kingdom as of September 1998.
BT Time Periods for local, regional and national calls are as
follows:
Business (Daytime rate) - Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm
Evening (Night-time rate)- Monday to Friday before 8am and after 6pm
Weekend rates - Midnight Friday to midnight Sunday
2. Before starting Net Timer ensure a rate is selected in the
charges box.
3. Using the options feature the rate of charges can be modified.
In addition you can select the time delay between alerts being
displayed or sounded.
4. Using the Timer Log the dates and duration of calls can be viewed.
Totals are given of log-on time and total cost of calls to date.
Entries can be individually deleted as required.
