ABOUT CHIMP!
Chimp! provides a convenient place for keeping to-do lists, reminders and
miscellaneous information. Chimp!'s interface is based on the model of
a tabbed notebook - each file is divided up into a set of topics, each
of which is displayed as a tabbed page. By using this model, Chimp!
allows a large amount of information to be held and coveniently accessed
without the screen clutter associated with programs based on the "sticky
note" metaphor.
In order to provide easy access to stored information, Chimp! can add
one or more icons to the Windows95 System Tray. When Chimp!'s window is
closed, the icon remains in the system tray. Double-clicking this icon
immediately restores the window, including the currently selected topic,
cursor position etc.
Chimp! does not require any action to ensure that any notes are saved -
Chimp! auto-saves whenever necessary. This allows you to treat Chimp!
just like a paper-based notepad: whenever a note has been edited, the
software takes charge of making sure that the modifications are saved,
you do not have to remember.
Chimp! provides a comprehensive set of editing features, printing
support and customisation options such as colours and fonts. It also
allows files and URLs to be launched directly from Chimp! simply by
selecting the text corresponding to the path/URL and right clicking.
Chimp! is shareware. If you use this program for more than the
evaluation period of 90 days you are required to register it.
For information about registering Chimp! see: "How to Register" in the
help file.
For details on how to contact Serpent Software, see "Contacting Serpent
Software" in the help file.
