  1. Upon installing, running, or distributing this product you agree to be bound
  2. by the following legal terms and conditions set out in this license agreement
  3. ("AGREEMENT")...

  5. DEFINITIONS:

  8. "AUTHOR" - Richard Thompson, copyright holder of the software.
  9.  
  10. "USER" - Anyone who installs, runs or distributes product.
  11.  
  12. "DISTRIBUTOR" - Anyone who distributes the UNREGISTERED SHAREWARE (NOT
  13. REGISTERED) version of product.  This can be either informally (e.g. passing
  14. a copy to a colleague) or distributing formally in some kind of archive (such
  15. as a CD-ROM compilation, shareware library or web site).  Distributor is used
  16. interchangeably with "USER", since a USER can also be a distributor.
  17.  
  18. "PRODUCT" - "Turbo Solve! Pro", specifically version 2.0.  This refers to all
  19. files including documentation and third-party components.  Note that "Turbo
  20. Solve! Pro" is marketed as a separate product to "Turbo Solve!" and hence,
  21. some details given in license agreements of previous versions of "Turbo
  22. Solve!" (e.g. upgrade prices) may be invalid for "Turbo Solve! Pro".

  28. "Turbo Solve!" and "Turbo Solve! Pro" are trademarks.

  30. 2) UNREGISTERED USE
  31. -------------------

  33. User may use an unlimited number of copies of product in unregistered form
  34. for an unlimited time but only for the purpose of evaluation.

  36. 3) DISTRIBUTION OF PRODUCT
  37. --------------------------

  39. Distributor may (and is encouraged to) distribute the UNREGISTERED SHAREWARE
  40. VERSION providing EXACT copies of product are distributed.  Distributor may
  41. not sell product for profit (a very low fee to cover handling costs is
  42. allowed) or accept donations of any kind.  Distributor will make every
  43. possible effort to ensure the distribution media and files distributed are
  44. correct, not corrupted and virus-free.

  46. If distributor wishes to place product in any sort of archive (which is
  47. encouraged), distributor must make the effort to include a description of the
  48. program (preferably with screen shot if possible) or at very least list the
  49. type of program e.g. "Turbo Solve! Pro 2.0 - Word Puzzle Solving Program For
  50. Windows '95/NT" for the convenience of user.  Distributor is advised that it
  51. is in their best interest to contact author before placing product in an
  52. archive, to ensure the latest version of product is being included.

  54. Author reserves the right to cease distribution or use of product at any
  55. time, with or without stating reason.

  57. 4) MODIFICATION/REVERSE ENGINEERING OF PRODUCT

  60. Under no circumstances will user add, remove, modify, disassemble, resource,
  61. recompile or create derivative works in whole or part of product without
  62. written permission from author.

  64. 5) REGISTRATION KEYS
  65. --------------------

  67. Author will provide a registration key to a user who registers product.  User
  68. will receive their registration key by either post or e-mail.  This allows
  69. user to use a registered copy of product.  User may install and use a single
  70. copy of the registered version of product on only one individual PC at any
  71. given time.

  73. Registration keys are not transferable.  User may not resell or distribute
  74. registration keys to others, distribute (or publicise) algorithms/programs
  75. capable of deriving registration keys or commit any other fraud relating to
  76. registration keys.

  78. 6) DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

  81. THE PRODUCT IS PROVIDED "AS IS".  AUTHOR PROVIDES NO WARRANTIES THAT PRODUCT
  82. IS FAULT FREE, PRODUCT WILL MEET USER REQUIREMENTS OR PRODUCT IS SUITED TO
  83. ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.  USER ACCEPTS ALL RISKS
  84. INVOLVED IN USING PRODUCT.  UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL AUTHOR BE HELD
  85. RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BUGS, LOSS OF DATA ETC.

  87. 7) THIRD PARTY LICENSED COMPONENTS

  91. the WordNet database which is ⌐ Princeton University...
