The Smooth effect averages the pixel values of the image. If the Average option is selected, new pixels are generated based on the average value of neighboring pixels. If the Maximum option is selected, new pixels are generated based on the largest value of neighboring pixels. If the Median option is selected, new pixels are generated based on the middle value of neighboring pixels. If the Minimum option is selected, new pixels are generated based on the smallest value of neighboring pixels. The Amount area determines the size (in pixels) of the sample area.
