ANI Make, Version 1.1 3/23/93
For Windows NT / Win32, March release.
(c)1993, Babarsoft
by Mark Gamber
One of the neater features of the Windows NT / Win32 (herein referred to as
Win32) March release is assigning custom cursors to various standard cursors,
such as the left arrow, hourglass, and so on. Included is a new feature called
"Animated Cursors", which are a collection of cursors and icons which, when
played in a sequence, gives the appearance of animation. A number of animated
cursors are included with Win32, but there is no method provided to create your
own animated cursors. This is where ANI Make comes into play. Named after the
extender used for animated cursors, "ANI", ANI Make is a Control Panel applet
which gives you the ability to combine a sequence of cursors and / or icons
into a single animated cursor, suitable to use with the "Cursors" Control Panel
applet.
To begin using ANI Make, copy the following files from the location they
were uncompressed to the Win32 system directory, \WINNT\SYSTEM32 as an example:
ANIMAKER.CPL
ANIMAKER.HLP
When the Win32 Control Panel is started, it scans for applets. ANI Make is a
Control Panel applet and, when found, is displayed in the Control Panel.
Double-click the icon to display the ANI Make main window. At this point, click
on "Help" for more information on how to use ANI Make.
ANI Make may be freely distributed, but is not public domain. Babarsoft
retains all rights to the application. The application may not be altered in
any way without expressed permission of the author, nor may the application
be distributed without this information file. In using the application, the
user assumes all damages incurred, whether real or imaginary, and shall hold
harmless the application and author. If unable to comply with this, the user
should immediately destroy the application and cease use of the application.
That junk out of the way, thanks for giving ANI Make a try. I'm interested
in hearing your feedback on the program and may be reached on the following
