  2.         LOTTO  CHALLENGER  v3.7  is  a  fully functional Shareware lotto
  3.         analysis program.   A Quick Picks option automatically picks the
  4.         best  numbers  to  play  based  on  a  statistical  analysis  of
  5.         previously drawn numbers.   Twenty wheeling systems are included
  6.         that generate bet tickets from  the numbers played.   A Winner's
  7.         Circle option determines which tickets have winning matches.   A
  8.         History option allows you to test different  playing  strategies
  9.         on previous drawings.

  11.         Version  3.7  is  compatible with all lotteries that pick 5 or 6
  12.         numbers,  including the new multi-state Powerball game.   A data
  13.         file for the Florida lottery is  included so that you can easily
  14.         evaluate the program.   When you register for LOTTO  CHALLENGER,
  15.         you  will  receive  an up-to-date data file for whatever lottery
  16.         you play, at no extra charge.

  18.         How to Get Started Quickly:

  21.         All of the files in  this  release are uncompressed.   The files
  22.         will easily fit on one 360K  5  1/4"  diskette.    If  you  play
  23.         several  lotteries,  or have a large data file,  you may want to
  24.         copy all the files to a  high density diskette or a subdirectory
  25.         on your hard drive.
  26.         
  27.         To start LOTTO CHALLENGER from diskette,  insert the diskette in
  28.         your drive and type A: or B: and press ENTER.  Type LC and press
  29.         ENTER.
  30.         
  31.         To start LOTTO CHALLENGER from your hard drive,  you must  first
  32.         change into the directory.   Assuming the program files are in a
  33.         subdirectory  called  LOTTO,  you would type CD \LOTTO and press
  34.         ENTER.  Type LC and press ENTER.
  35.         
  36.         NOTE:  It is very important  that  you have the command FILES=20
  37.         (20 or greater) in the CONFIG.SYS file in your  root  directory.
  38.         The  Number  Systems  options  in LOTTO CHALLENGER will not work
  39.         correctly without this command.   If  the  command is not in the
  40.         file,  you can use any ascii text editor to insert the  command.
  41.         You  will  need  to  reboot  your  computer  after inserting it.
  42.         Consult your DOS manual for more information.

  44.         If  you  are  upgrading   from   a  previous  version  of  LOTTO
  45.         CHALLENGER,  or just want to see what changes have been recently
  46.         made,  be sure to read the file HISTORY.DOC for a complete  list
  47.         of recent enhancements.

  63.         To print the User's  manual,   change to LOTTO CHALLENGER's home
  64.         directory and type COPY LC.DOC PRN.

  69.         All users can obtain Technical Support either by U.S.   mail  or
  70.         CompuServe  Email  (72356,354).    We will try our best to fully
  71.         support unregistered users during  their evaluation period,  but
  72.         we will  give  priority  to  registered  users,   if  necessary.

  74.         Technical Support by telephone.

  76.         What SHAREWARE is:

  79.         Shareware  describes  a   method   of  distributing  copyrighted
  80.         software in which a  user  is  allowed  to  fully  evaluate  the
  81.         software before purchasing it.   After an evaluation period, the
  82.         user is required to register the product if s/he decides to keep
  83.         using it.

  85.         Shareware   distribution   addresses   all   of  the  legitimate
  86.         complaints   that   users    have   with   commercial   software
  87.         distribution.

  89.           o Shareware allows a user to fully evaluate a product, free of
  90.             charge, in his or her home, *before* deciding to buy it.

  92.           o Shareware programs can circulate freely on Bulletin  Boards,
  93.             through Shareware disk distributors, or through user groups.

  95.           o Because   Shareware   distribution   reduces   the  need  to
  96.             advertise,   Shareware  is  less  expensive  than commercial

  99.           o Shareware authors can often be  more  responsive  to  users'
  100.             requests   for   help  or  bug  fixes  than  large  software
  101.             companies.

  106.         In short,  Shareware is a  user's  dream come true.   Users show
  107.         their appreciation to developers  for  this  extremely  flexible
  108.         distribution scheme by registering their software.  Without user
  109.         registrations Shareware software would gradually disappear.   It
  110.         is  not  sufficient  to  simply  let  the  "other  guy"  pay the
  111.         registration.  You are the other guy's "other guy".

  120.         Shareware is  not  "free"  software.    Shareware  is not Public
  121.         Domain software.   The fee that you may have paid to  receive  a
  122.         Shareware  program does not mean that the software has been paid
  123.         for.   This money was  paid  to  a  Shareware disk vendor,  User
  124.         Group, Bulletin Board Service or retailer to cover their cost of
  125.         getting the program to you.   Shareware software is paid for  by
  126.         registering your copy with the author.

  132.         considerably since  its  conception.    I  have  called myself a

  135.         developing  this  program.   The development of LOTTO CHALLENGER
  136.         has been an extremely  rewarding  project;  LOTTO CHALLENGER has
