- Farkle is offered to the public as shareware requiring an eight dollar
- registration fee if it used passed a reasonable trial period. It is
- not warranted and/or guarrantied in any respect as to performance
- and/or loss and liabilities. Use at your own risk.
-
-
- Farkle is a dice game employing six dice by which a score is accumulated.
- By rolling certain dice and combinations of dice, a predetermined score
- is achieved to win the game.
-
- Point dice are as follows...
- 1's = 100 pts each (1000 pts per lot of three)
- 2's = 200 pts per lot of three
- 3's = 300 pts per lot of three
- 4's = 400 pts per lot of three
- 5's = 500 pts per lot of three
- 6's = 50 pts each (600 pts per lot of three)
- 1,2,3,4,5,6 = in a single throw is 1500 pts
-
- Once the dice have been rolled, a player has the option of subtracting
- any point dice or point dice combination they wish. The subtracted
- dice will be returned to the shuffler for rerolling on the next throw.
- ONLY POINT DICE NEED BE SUBTRACTED, ALL OTHERS WILL BE REROLLED WITH NO
- ACTION REQUIRED ON THE PLAYERS' PART OTHER THAN ROLLING.
-
- Dice other than 1's and 6's must have three matches in order to add to
- a score. Three 2's are worth 200, three 4's are worth 400 and so on. If
- a fourth die matches as well, it is returned to the shuffler.
-
- If a player rolls no point dice in a throw, they forfeit the points
- acquired so far in that turn and the turn moves to the next player.
- Only by a self willed passing of the dice can points be accumulated in
- the BOARD SCORE section.
-
- If a player rolls until all the availble dice are points, they begin
- again with all six dice returned to the shuffler for play.
-
- The button with a line in it (upper left corner) is a terminate program
- button that permits the option of quiting early. The button with a 'B'
- in it (upper right corner) is a BOSS ALERT popup screen.
-
- A game may be played with up to nine computer players, although this
- does not allow anyone else to play along as only nine players can play
- at any one time. To play with computer players, simply enter COMPUTER
- when prompted for player's names.
-
-
- Farkle accepts two optional command line arguments at start up. They are
- as follows...
-
- C:\DOS>FARKLE [[/Dn][/MM]]
-
- /D - specifies delay time between
- computer player's rolls
- [n] - delay in seconds, .5 to 15
- default is 3 seconds
-
- /MM - Whether mouse cursor should move
- itself to anticipated locations.
-
- Placement of the command line switches is irrelevant to the program. If
- the correct switch is present on the command line, Farkle will find it.
- These switches may also be entered while playing the game by pressing
- the <D> key. A dialog box will appear asking for a new delay value.
-
- You may enter </MM> in this window to turn Auto Mouse Movement on. Once
- the mouse movement is active, a switch of </NM> will turn this option
- off. However, by the boxes prompt, you may also enter a new delay value
- between computer rolls to quicken the game or allow more time to see
- what the computer rolls.
-
- I hope you enjoy Farkle as much as my family and I have. Don't forget
- to register your copy if you do. Farkle has been in a continual twicking
- process since its inception. You wouldn't want to miss out on the free
- upgrades and free 1965 Corvette with each copy registered!
