- FAMILYWARE - The finest in educational and family-oriented software.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- HARDDRIVE USERS
-
- If you have a harddrive:
-
- Place the FAMILYWARE disk in your floppy drive and then copy the
- program(s) into a directory that is on your harddrive as follows:
-
- C:TEST>Copy A:FILENAME.EXE
-
- The "A:" is just an example...type whatever letter your drive is
- named.
-
- Once the program is copied onto the harddrive, you can proceed to extract
- the program by just typing the program name: FILENAME.EXE.
-
- CAUTION!!!
-
- If the disk came with two or more programs, make SURE you copy each and
- every program into its OWN directory....or you're going to have a mess of
- programs mixed together!
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- FLOPPY DRIVE USERS
-
- If you have two floppy drives:
-
- Put the FAMILYWARE disk in drive A: and a formatted disk in drive B:.
- At the prompt, type:
-
- A:>Copy FILENAME eB:
-
- The program should start copying itself onto the floppy in the B: drive.
-
- CAUTION!!!
-
- If the disk came with two or more programs, make SURE you copy each and
- every program onto its OWN floppy disk...or you're going to have a mess
- of programs mixed together! Believe us...we're speaking from experience!
-

-
- GWBASIC PROGRAMS
-
- If you've ordered a program that requires GWBasic, you will have to have
- a copy of GWBasic or Basica in either your DOS directory or in the same
- directory or floppy as the program.
-
- In order to run the program(s):
-
- At the prompt, type:
-
- C:>GWBASIC FILENAME.BAS
-
- If you want to get OUT of a GWBasic program, press either CTRL C or CTRL
- SCROLL LOCK. Hold down CTRL and then press C or SCROLL LOCK or it won't
- work.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- DOC, README, TXT, and HEY_YOU!!!
-
- If you come across a file with any of the above extensions or something
- else that we've left out, the way to operate it is:
-
- At the prompt, type:
-
- C:>TYPE FILENAME.DOC|more
-
- The "DOC" is just an example extension. It could be anything. You would
- read "README" as follows:
-
- C:>TYPE README|more
-
- DON'T use the colon that is over the semi-colon on your keyboard. Use
- the colon that is ABOVE the backslash key.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- I JUST CAN'T DO THIS! I DON'T GET IT!!!
-
- Yes, you can! If we can do it, you can do it. DOS is not the easiest
- thing in the world to learn, but face it, anything worth learning is
- going to be hard. Before you know it, you'll be a pro! Hang in there
- and enjoy your software.
