  8. It's a bit of bad news, but I'm sorry
  9. to say that I'm probably closing up
  10. the Cronosoft label.

  12. I'm struggling financially at the
  13. moment, & Cronosoft has too, for a
  14. while without much interest, & I'm
  15. beginning to lose money keeping it
  16. going, plus I can't afford to buy more
  17. tape stocks etc. Also, unfortunately,
  18. I've had a hefty PayPal chargeback
  19. against someone I sent a large order
  20. to that is claiming that it's
  21. undeceived.

  23. Of course, all payments to authors
  24. etc. are all put aside & will be sent
  25. out as soon as possible. Maybe I'll be
  26. able to restart it in the future when
  27. times are a bit better.

  29. I'd like to thank everyone that
  30. supported the label, either by buying
  31. games, writing them, designing covers,
  32. giving us invites to shows etc..

  41. be able to continue to offer emulator
  42. versions of course, but the tapes idea
  43. was the main reason for continuing.

  45. Maybe I could do a 'download the inlay
  46. & print yourself' kind of thing. I do
  47. have some stocks left, so I will carry
  48. on for a little while yet until they
  49. are gone. The website is still there,
  50. & It'll be tweaked a bit. Cronosoft
  51. will still be there as a name if not
  52. as a supplier of tapes.

  54. Sales have dropped a large amount over
  55. this last year, with some being in
  56. just single figures, so maybe it would
  57. be best to 'come back' in the future
  58. when things are a bit better. The
  59. charge backs thing is a new problem to
  60. overcome. Sending things by recorded
  61. delivery adds a lot to the cost which
  62. people don't want to pay (especially
  63. for international which sticks 3.50
  64. onto the cost, coupled with the fact
  65. that lost items don't have a proof of
  66. value which satisfies the post office,
  67. unless it's the games that are sold on
  68. Ebay). The last chargeback was for
  69. over 30, which was a bit of a stinger.
  70. It wouldn't have been so bad if the
  71. person concerned had even emailed to
  72. say they hadn't received the games.

  83. the games the label will remain viable
  84. if you don't purchase goods then the
  85. label will fold the Commodore Computer
  86. Club U.K. are working with Simon to
  87. try & provide some assistance
