  12. I'm a C64 & Commodore user from the
  13. 70-80's. and I've discovered Commodore
  14. Free magazine. I found the magazine
  15. very interesting! I live in Italy, You
  16. know surely that there are a very
  17. large number of Commodore fans. I
  18. think it would be Wonderful to share
  19. your magazine in other languages, like
  20. Italian for example...Do You think is
  21. a good idea? I can offer my
  22. collaboration in this...

  31. I unfortunately only speak English, so
  32. its impossible for me to create
  33. another language version of the
  34. magazine. Also because I only speak
  35. English its impossible for me to check
  36. the content; I wouldnt know if the
  37. translation was accurate,
  38.  
  39. I would however welcome other versions
  40. of the magazine in different languages
  41. Spanish and German especially. I can
  42. trial an issue if you wish, and see
  43. what feedback comes from users, what
  44. version would you be able to produce a
  45. PDF or text issue?

  48. realise though it is a large amount of
  49. work translating and checking
  50. magazines :-)

  58. I realise that English may not be
  59. everyones preferred language of choice
  60. but as this is the only language I can
  61. write and speak in (sometimes with
  62. grammatical errors and spelling may
  63. not be to everyone elses standard) If
  64. I had a choice I would prefer someone
  65. to proof read my editing and get
  66. Commodore Free in English to a very
  67. high standard rather then branching
  68. out into multiple languages. I realise
  69. that this isnt possible without other
  70. readers help, and that many readers do
  71. not have the time to devote to
  72. proofreading and its commitments
  73. preferring rather just to read the
  74. magazine, let me say though that
  75. without readers there would be no
  76. point creating a magazine, so even
  77. readers have a valid input to its
  78. creation.

  80. However, as a reader you may like to
  81. send the odd link or news item, that
  82. maybe I missed during the magazine
  83. production, or suggest someone in the
  84. Commodore community for an interview
  85. with.

  87. Back to the language versions,
  88. I know for example many websites are
  89. in existence that translate text sites
  90. into other languages (you will need to
  91. search for these but websites like
  92. bablefish and even Google can
  93. translate text to some extent), this
  94. was the main motivation In producing a
  95. text and later a html version of the
  96. magazine, hoping to obtain more reader
  97. base from international readers, who
  98. dont speak or read English, So If you
  99. feel the commitment to translate
  100. Commodore free into other languages
  101. than feel free to send me an issue and
  102. I will (if web space permits) host
  103. this version of the magazine, lets try
  104. it as a test, although I realise that
  105. it takes a large effort and time
  106. dedication to translate technical text
  107. so I dont expect a great number of
  108. people who will write in.
