  8. surprised about Commodore Free having
  9. copyright problems, I really cannot
  10. believe there are companies having
  11. problems with your magazine,

  13.  I guess Commodore users are still a
  14. "respectable force", so they still
  15. bothered about copyrights, but why
  16. don't they take your comments as free
  17. advertising?, I simply cannot
  18. understand they can have complains.

  29. braking copyright and never get
  30. "caught" I can sympathise with
  31. companies who still own copyright to
  32. images, text etc. the only thing I can
  33. say is that I have to be more careful

  74.  I just discovered your magazine and i
  75. want to thank you very much for this
  76. great piece of art.  I'm a huge fan of
  77. the commodore 64 (i programmed a lot
  78. in the 80's!) and I'm glad that i
  79. found your magazine.  I was searching
  80. for a Commodore 64 dedicated magazines
  81. and this is the only one i found.

  87. why not contribute an article about
  88. some of the items you wrote for the
  89. Commodore, no one knows everything
  90. about the machine and its good to look
  91. at others experiences

  93. As for other magazines there are a
  94. number of PDF downloadable but most
  95. are not in English, also there are a
  96. number of disk based magazines to run
  97. on real machines

  99. Maybe I should feature an article on
  100. all commodore magazines Disk or paper
  101. based

  103. Help would be very much welcome for
  104. this feature, if you know of a
  105. magazine disk, or pdf or paper based
  106. let me know, and how its ordered or
  107. downloaded.

  111. For the record then on copyright I was
  112. contacted by a number of company's
  113. claming an infringement of copyright,
  114. or a misrepresentation of the company,
  115. the letters looked real and genuine
  116. and a number threatened court action
  117. if no further action was taken.

  119. I decided to pull all copies and text
  120. from the website, the letters stopped,
  121. so I now ensure I try to clear all
  122. text and pictures and logos with the
  123. relevant copyright holders.

  125. I am not going to list the companies
  126. involved as they may claim I am trying
  127. to start a vendetta against them, or a
  128. hate mail list, all I want to do is
  129. create a FREE magazine filled with
  130. relevant Commodore related items.

  132. I make no money from the magazine, and
  133. in fact its costing me money to keep
  134. the magazine running, as well as the
  135. time it takes to compile the issue.

  137. I can t blame companies for protecting
  138. themselves that's how they make money,
  139. unfortunately I am not motivated by
  140. money, I enjoy having fun and living
  141. rather than thinking all day about
  142. money
