  1. Candidates selected in a general or specialist occupations are enrolled

  11. Medical Officers, Dentists, Legal Officers, and Chaplains, who are

  13. enrolled as Captains;   
  14. --- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
  15. Nurses are enrolled as Officer Cadets and receive Second Lieutenant  
  16. --- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
  17. pay during the Initial Assessme
  18. --- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
  19. nt Period (IAP)/ Basic Officer  
  20. --- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
  21. Training Program (BOTP).  After ha

  23. ving successfully completed the  
  24. --- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
  25. BOTP, they are promoted to Second Lieutenant, backdated to the  
  26. --- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
  27. enrolment date;

  29. Chaplains are enrolled for a 5 year period or a short-term engagement,  
  30. --- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
  31. depending on their choice.
