  7. Note: This program is shareware.  If you enjoy playing, you MUST register within 30 days of 
  8.       playing.  See the registration form REGISTER.WRI and the game's on-line help for details.

  11. Installation: To install Player's Choice Video Keno, unzip these files (using Winzip 95 or a
  12. similar program) to their own directory, say "c:\Keno".  Then, click on the Keno icon in explorer
  13. to run the game.  Note: This game requires the Visual Basic 32 bit runtime libraries.  I did not
  14. distribute these libraries with the program, because chances are you already have them.  If the
  15. game refuses to run, you'll need to download the file libraries.  Look for them at 
  16. http://www.windows95.com or ftp://ftp.winsite.com.  These files are about 1.2MB zipped, and
  17. you'll need them for many shareware programs you can download.  Refer to the instructions that
  18. come with the runtime libaries for assistance.

  20. To create an icon for Video Keno in your games folder on the start menu, right click on the task
  21. bar, choose propeties, then start menu programs.  Choose the Add option, and follow the
  22. instructions.  Please refer to the Windows 95 help files for assistance.

  24. For Windows 3.1 users, start Windows File Manager and create a new directory on your hard disk,
  25. say c:\keno.  Using Winzip or a similar program, unzip the shareware distribution file to the
  26. new directory.  Finally, return to program manager and open the file menu.  Choose new, then
  27. the new icon option.  Tell Windows 3.1 where you put the keno program and the name of the
  28. executable (for this example, c:\keno\keno.exe).  Click ok, and the program's icon should appear.
  29. Just double-click on this icon to start the game!  Please consult your Windows documentation for
  30. more details.

  32. The registered version of this program ships on two 3-1/2" HD floppy diskettes, and contains all
  33. runtime files mentioned above, as well as a user friendly setup program.  It is available for
  34. Windows 3.1 as well.  See the registration form for details.

  44. How to play: When you start video keno, a window appears telling about the program.  Following a
  45. 10 second delay, click the OK button to continue.  A traditional style Keno screen appears.
  46. Playing Player's Choice Video Keno is so easy, you probably don't even need these instructions. 
  47. Player's Choice Video Keno works just like a regular keno machine.  In this shareware version of
  48. the game, only regular keno is available.  Also, only dollar type credits can be used.  These
  49. options are on by default, so there's no need to manually select a game or currency type.  
  50. To play standard keno, choose between 2 and 10 numbers by clicking on the number of your choice.
  51. Clicking again will turn the number off. The payout will be adjusted accordingly on the payout
  52. screen.  Next, place your bet by moving the "bet bar" at the bottom of the screen.  You may bet
  53. between 1 and 10 credits per hand.  To make the game play faster or slower, move the "speed bar"
  54. on the left of the screen.  Finally, press "play" to begin playing.  The computer will choose 20
  55. numbers at random.  If the computer chooses a number which you picked, a smiley face will appear.  
  56. If the computer's number doesn't match your's, a sad face will appear.  You will be awarded for
  57. "hits", or matching numbers, according to the payoff on the payout screen.  To play again with
  58. the same numbers, click "play."  You may also change your bet by moving the "bet bar."  Finally,
  59. to change your numbers, hit the "reset" button.  You can play as many games as you wish until
  60. your money is gone.  To exit the game, choose "Exit" from the Game menu.  Most importantly, have
  61. fun, and good luck!
