Aim Of The Game
---------------
Basically, the aim is to get all of the Creepers into their
pupa pots where they can metamorphose into beautiful
butterflies. In each level the Creepers will start off from
a different place in the map, a few of which are quite
surprising. The maps themselves contain disasterous
obstacles that must be figured out and overcome in order to
solve the levels.
One of the great things about Creepers is their ability to
roll into a ball and fly through the level. Any number of
things can cause this to happen: the Creepers may run out
of floor to walk on, they may be blown by fans, they may be
whapped with racquets, etc. etc.
You can control the progression of the caterpillars by
placing tools in the map that will affect them. Following
is an example of some of the tools available (every map
offers new and different tools):
Racquet := Allows the player to hit a Creeper and cause
him to roll into a ball and fly through the
level.
Fan := Causes a Creeper to roll into a ball and be
blown in the direction the fan is facing.
Magnet := Causes a Creeper to roll into a ball and to
be pulled towards the magnet.
Ramp := Will cause a Creeper to roll up or down hill.
Bridge := Allows a Creeper to traverse safely over a
hole in the ground.
Wall := Blocks a Creeper from entering a specific
area.
Trampoline := Causes a Creeper to be bounced to great
heights up in the air.
To select a tool to use, click on that tool's icon in the
border and then on the position in the map you want the tool
to occupy. You can only have a certain number of tools on
the map at one time. This number is given in the top right
of the border and is decremented whenever a tool is placed.
Tools can be picked back up again by pointing to them in the
map and pressing the right mouse button or the ENTER key.
The level can be scrolled left and right by pushing the
pointer off of the respective side of the screen. You can
double the scroll speed by holding down the ALT key at the
same time.
Each level is played in order of difficulty and is over when
the required number of Creepers have made their way to the
pupa pot. You must solve the level with a score above zero
or you will have to replay it. Each time you place a tool
on the map your score is depleted. Note that picking a tool
back up again does not increase your score.
There are also two cameras to help in your plight, a Creeper
camera and a Point camera.
To turn the Creeper camera on, simply click on the camera
icon or the Creeper below it. The Creeper camera will
monitor the progress of individual Creepers in the game.
To turn the Point camera on, click on the icon beside the
Creeper below the camera icon and then on a position in the
map. The point camera will then continue to monitor that
point even as you scroll about, allowing you to see "two
places at once".
Best of luck, play and enjoy.
