Merry Christmas everybody! This christmas card is dedicated to
Franz Gruber, who happens to be a relative of mine. To run this
program, you need a system that supports EGA or VGA graphics.
Just copy the three files on to your hard disk and type "Xmas"
to see the Christmas card. You can turn the music off by pressing
the NumLock key. You can exit the program by pressing "Esc".
If you upload this program to a BBS, please put it in the file
"XMASCARD.ZIP".
Here is a list of Shareware games available from Ted Gruber
Software:
VEGASEGA.ZIP -- The Las Vegas EGA Casino: written in 1987, this is
a collection of 3 popular casino games: video poker, a slot machine,
and blackjack. The blackjack game will be of special interest to
card counters. Registration: $10.00
KLONDIKE.ZIP -- A gambling variation of a familiar solitaire card
game. Features EGA graphics and mouse support. Registration: $10.00.
EGAKENO.ZIP -- A sexy simulation of a casino keno game. EGA
graphics, mouse support, and a pretty keno runner. My most
economical game. Registration: $1.00
SLOT.ZIP -- A respectable EGA slot machine. Nice colors and sound
effects. Registration: $10.00.
SCRAM10.ZIP -- Scramble, version 1.0. This is a crossword board
game that resembles Scrabble. It comes with a 33,000 word default
dictionary which you can modify yourself. It supports EGA/VGA
graphics and a mouse (optional). 1 to 4 players can play Scramble
and any player can be human or computer. This is my best shareware
game.
If you can't find these games on your local BBS, send us a note and
we will mail them to you. The address is: P.O. Box 13408, Las Vegas,
NV 89112.
If you are interested in video poker games, we also have released a
commercial program, "Video Poker à la Carte", published by
ComputerEasy. It features 6 popular video poker games, including
deuces wild and second chance poker. The EGA graphics are real
pretty; I used a fancy deck of playing cards from the Soviet Union.
Ask for this game at your local software store.
And last, but certainly not least, we wrote some great educational
software for your kids: Once Upon A Time, Volumes 1, 2 and 3, published
by CompuTeach. Create and print out your own books. Kids love it!
It makes a great Christmas present, too.
Our best wishes to you this holiday season, and may you have a safe and
prosperous 1991!
Sincerely,
Diana, Ted and Arthur (age "almost 2") Gruber
