  10. DESCRIPTION:  MAH JONGG is a solitaire game played with Chinese tiles.
  11. The rules are quite simple and easy to learn, but success in the game
  12. requires strategy and concentration.  The object of the game is to
  13. remove all 144 tiles from the playing surface one pair at a time.  To
  14. get started either read the .doc file, or just start up the game and
  15. view the help screens to learn how to play.

  17. REQUIREMENTS:  Mah Jongg runs in 640x350, 16 color graphics, thus an
  18. EGA or VGA card is required.  Alternatively, you can run in 720x348
  19. monochrome Hercules graphics if you have a Hercules compatible card.
  20. CGA, Tandy graphics, etc. are not supported and no version for these
  21. modes is available.

  23. SHAREWARE: Mah Jongg is distributed as Shareware.  You are free to
  24. try the game and make copies for others.  If you continue to use the
  25. game, however, you must pay the author a registration fee of $15
  26. (plus $2 shipping/handling); in return you'll receive a copy of the
  27. latest version of the program, a setup utility and additional tile
  28. sets.  A "deluxe" version is available for $22 (plus $4 shipping/
  29. handling) which includes a binder, printed manual and reference card
  30. in addition to the program itself.  Please note that all prices are
  31. U.S. dollars.

  33. Shareware disk vendors may include Mah Jongg in their catalog; please
  34. see the file VENDOR.TXT for requirements.

  86. MAHJONGG:  Addictive solitaire game played with Chinese tiles.  Very
  87.            easy to learn but always a challenge to win.  Many game
  88.            options including timed games, tournaments, etc.  Also
  89.            allows loading optional tile sets (tile editor included).

  98. TMATCH:    Tile Match is a variation on concentration solitaire or
  99.            "memory", but adds multiple player versions (up to four
  100.            players) or play against the computer.  Many scoring and
  101.            difficulty settings allow use by any age player.  Uses
  102.            the same tiles for playing pieces as Mah Jongg solitaire
  103.            and includes the tile editor.

  105. TILESETS:  Several collections of tile sets created by various
  106.            Mah Jongg fans are available.  Each collection includes
  107.            at least ten tile sets.  Requires Mah Jongg v3.3 or later
  108.            or any version of Tile Match.

  110. CIPHER:    A word puzzle game, yet it uses hi-res VGA or EGA graphics
  111.            for displays (mouse optional).  Also will run in text mode.
  112.            Includes over 30 puzzles to solve; registered version comes
  113.            with over 200 additional puzzles.  You can also enter your
  114.            own already encrypted puzzles.  Additional puzzle disks are
  115.            available.  Available in MS-DOS or Windows versions.

  117. SHOOT:     "Shooting Gallery" is a colorful arcade game with several
  118.            different rounds to test your aim and reflexes, including
  119.            skeet, quick draw, carnival type shooting range and a wild 
  120.            west shootout.  Uses 320x200, 256 color mode and a mouse to
  121.            play.  Requires VGA or MCGA.

  151.            tournament, including rod and lure selection.  Runs in
  152.            EGA/CGA/Hercules graphics modes.  Uses many of the

  157. BASSMAP:   Companion program for BassTour which allows lakes to be
  158.            created or modified.  EGA and CGA versions provided.

  162. These programs are probably available on your favorite BBS or from
  163. your favorite disk vendors.  To register them or to order direct, use
  164. the form in the file "orderfrm.txt" which is all ready to print.  The
  165. "deluxe" version includes the registered software on diskette, plus a
  166. binder and printed manual (some programs also include quick reference
  167. cards).  The standard version includes just the diskette with the
  168. registered software.  Note: the actual software is the same in both the
  169. standard and deluxe versions.  You can also use your VISA or MasterCard
  170. to order on-line thru the support BBS, Xevious, at 508-875-3618.  Use
  171. the command "DOOR 15" to order.
