  9. 1) REQUIREMENTS

  11.       386/33 or greater IBM PC compatible
  12.       VGA graphics card
  13.       550K free base memory
  14.       4 Mb of free memory
  15.       Sound Card ( optional )

  18. 2) INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  20.    Make a Directory on your hard drive to copy the disk contents onto.
  21.        md hurl<enter>
  22.  
  23.    Change to the newly created Diectory:
  24.        cd hurl
  25.  
  26.    Copy the contents of the disk:
  27.       copy <drive>:*.*
  28.  
  29.    Use PKUNZIP to extract all the files that are need for HURL.
  30.       pkunzip hurl.zip<enter>
  31.  
  32.    Type Setsound to set up your sound.
  33.       setsound<enter>
  34.  
  35.    You will be asked to select and test a sound card and music device.
  36.    After this your configuration has been saved to your C: drive for
  37.    future use by the game.

  39.    To run the game type hurl.
  40.       hurl<enter>

  42. 3) TROUBLE SHOOTING

  44.    NOT ENOUGH MEMORY!
  45.    If you are really low on memory Try:
  46.         hurl4meg<enter>
  47.    While you may have the 4Mb needed to run the game is it actually free?
  48.    Some programs like SMARTDRV.EXE can take 2Mb or more.  Remove it from
  49.    you config.sys and reboot.

  51.    MS DOS 6.0 contains MEMMAKER which can help you configure your system
  52.    better.

  54.    HEY, IT CRASHED!
  55.    Boot with a minimum configuration to free up as much memory as possible.
  56.    Your config file should look something like this:
  57.       FILES=20
  58.       BUFFERS=20
  59.       DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS
  60.       DOS=HIGH
  61.  
  62.    THE SOUND DOESN'T WORK!
  63.    If you have a SoundBlaster compatible card select the SoundBlaster
  64.    clone driver and try again.  Otherwise you can run H.U.R.L without
  65.    sound by starting it as follows:
