  9. DESCRIPTION

  11.         Diamond is a fast paced VGA only game that combines both extreme
  12.         arcade style reflexes and puzzle solving strategy.  Your 
  13.         objective is to retrieve a set number of diamonds from fifteen
  14.         different levels.  In your quest you must dodge the mines
  15.         digging equipment and falling boulders and diamonds as you
  16.         tunnel through the earth looking for the diamonds you need
  17.         to defeat the spirit of Xathe.  Diamond includes a free built-in
  18.         level editor and Soundblaster compatable sound plus speed
  19.         adjustability to compensate for different skill levels.

  23. STORY

  25.         The long searched for diamond mines of the Andes mountains have
  26.         been found.  It did not take long for the entrepreneurs to realize
  27.         that the only way to make a profit would be to automate the mines.
  28.         Soon, there were machines that dug tunnels, crushed boulders to
  29.         release the diamonds inside, and conveyor belts and lifts to move
  30.         everything around.  But not long after the mines had been automated
  31.         and were set to run independent, something went drasticaly wrong,
  32.         as it always does.  The spirit of Xathe was awoken.  The demon set
  33.         forth his minons to wreak havok on all of the machines that had
  34.         intruded in upon Xathe's lair.  The diggers, or blades as they were
  35.         called in mine jargon, were sent to aim mindlessly through the
  36.         corridores of the mine.  The conveyor belts were set to run at
  37.         top speed as the bolts flew from their joints.  The corporations
  38.         lost hope after the first attempts to regain control were a complete
  39.         loss.  It did not take long for the news of this event to reach
  40.         the entire globe.  Young and old souls alike seeking fame, glory,
  41.         and adventure foolishly set out to make their fourtune with the
  42.         thousands and thousands of diamonds to be found in the mines.
  43.         You, being the foolish one that you are, decide that you too can
  44.         outfox the spirit of Xathe.  So here you are.
