  12. Funny Face was designed to provide kids with a creative form of entertainment.
  13. It allows children to create animation style faces without requiring them to
  14. to possess strong artistic skills.
  15.  
  16. Many of the paint packages on the market today require some degree of skill
  17. to generate recognizable pictures. This often times creates frustration on
  18. the part of very young children when using the software. This was taken into
  19. consideration during the design of this software package.

  23. Funny Face will run on IBM and compatible computers equipped with 512K of
  24. memory, a color monitor, and a color graphics adapter (CGA).

  49. EASE OF USE:
  50.  
  51.    Funny Face supports the Microsoft mouse, however, all functions can
  52.    also be performed directly with the keyboard.
  53.  
  54. IMAGE PRINTING, COLORING, SAVING, and LOADING:
  55.  
  56.    Images can be saved and retrieved from disk. Pictures are saved in the
  57.    popular PCX format. This means that you can import some of your
  58.    "Funny Faces" into other software programs that support the PCX format.
  59.  
  60.    Print support is available for 180 different printers, including some
  61.    color printers.
  62.  
  63.    Pictures can be colored in using a 4 color palette in CGA mode. The
  64.    commercial version of Funny Face supports a 16 color palette in EGA mode.
  65.  
  66. PICTURE LABEL:
  67.  
  68.    You can personalize your pictures by pressing the [F5] key. This will cause
  69.    a prompt to be displayed requesting an image label. The label that is
  70.    entered is displayed at the top of the screen, printed with the image, and
  71.    stored in the PCX file if the image is saved.

  73. SOUND TOGGLE:
  74.  
  75.    Sound can now be toggled off/on by pressing the [F2] key. The status of the
  76.    sound defaults to on each time Funny Face II is started.

  78. DEMO MODE:

  80.    Random images can be created using the demo mode. Pictures created by the
  81.    demo mode can be captured by pressing any key while the demo image is still
  82.    on the screen.

  84. STARUP DEMO TOGGLE:

  86.    The startup demo can be toggled off/on by pressing the [F6] key.

  90.    Sound can now be toggled off/on by pressing the [F2] key.

  116.    the image when the save option is used.

  124.    Removes a piece of the face. Move the cursor onto one of the facial options
  125.    on the main screen and press the [DEL] key. The selected option will be
  126.    promptly removed. If you are positioned on the paint can, colors are
  127.    removed in the reverse order that they were painted.

  131.    Moves the cursor or coloring arrow.

  135.    Backs up one step. Exits program if on main screen or in coloring mode.

  140. One of my goals in developing Funny Face was to make enough money to support
  141. my efforts in continuing to develop software. The philosophy of my company
  142. is to design "software that stimulates creativity". As a software developer
  143. I must constantly invest into development tools that allow me to create
  144. entertaining software such as Funny Face. These tools are quite expensive
  145. and that is why I need your support. I have recently had 2500 copies of
  146. Funny Face commercially packaged. I hope to sell these packages by promoting
  147. them through the shareware market. If you or your children like my
  148. software and would like to me to continue developing creative software
  149. please order a commercial version of Funny Face.

  151. For $19.95 you can purchase a version of Funny Face that is free of
  152. advertisements, has twice as many facial features to choose from as well
  153. as EGA/VGA, 16 color, support for coloring in pictures. I believe that
  154. Funny Face can compete with similar childrens software packages that cost
  155. significantly more when purchased in the retail stores. An order form has
  156. been included on the diskette and can be printed out by typing ORDERFRM
  157. at your DOS prompt.

  159. The shareware version of Funny Face can be freely copied and distributed.
  160. I own full copyright to both the shareware and commercial product and thus
  161. it cannot be used for commercial gain/profit without my prior consent.
