  4. Freeware
  5. Ray's Letters and Numbers is Freeware. This means that it can be used and 
  6. distrbuted freely, but the copyright remains with the author.
  7.  
  8. Overview
  9. Free Windows multimedia educational program for children aged 3-6. A
  10. challenging and entertaining approach to letters, numbers, counting, simple 
  11. spelling and much more. Plus a bonus jigsaw game which your child will love.
  12.  
  13. Options
  14. Make your choice of US or UK spelling. (This can be changed later by running
  15. the 'Change Options' program).

  17. System Requirements
  18. Almost any computer running Windows 3.1/Win 95 or above (PC 386 or above, 
  19. 4mb ram, vga/svga monitor). A soundcard is recommended, but not essential.

  21. Installation
  22. Simply run the installation program "install.exe". During installation simply folow 
  23. on screen instructions and answer 'yes' to any  queries unless you have good reason.

  25. If you have the self extracting version of the program, simply run "rayabc10.exe",
  26. instead of "install.exe".

  28. That's it!  The programs are now fully installed and ready for use. You will be given 
  29. an option to run Ray's Letters and Numbers immediately.

  31. Running the Program
  32. Win 3.1 
  33. Click on the 'Letters and Numbers' icon in the 'Ray's Letters and Numbers' group 
  34. which will be on your desktop.
  35.  
  36. Win95
  37. From the start menu, select programs and then the 'Ray's Letters and Numbers' folder. 
  38. Then select the 'Letters and Numbers' icon to run the program.
  39.  
  40. Note: The program makes use of the Windows clipboard.
  41.       Data stored in the clipboard (eg by the 'copy' command) will be lost.

  43. Uninstall Information
  44. Ray's Letters and Numbers does not change your system files and uses the
  45. program folder/directory (raysabc) for all it's own files, except vbrun300.dll
  46. which is copied to the WindowsSystem directory. This file is used by many Windows
  47. programs and is best left on your system.

  50. These programs and documentation are provided "as is" and without any express or 
  51. implied warranties. I have run the programs on a number of machines but cannot
  52. possibly anticipate all possible variations of software and hardware that the 
  53. programs may be run under. Therefore, the user must assume the entire risk of using 
  54. these programs. Under no circumstances will I be liable for any damages arising from 
  55. the use of, or inabilty to use, these programs.
